A way for Adam Jones to return

Todd Archer E-mail News tips
When I first heard about Michael Irvin's reality show, I thought it was for a "tryout" at the veteran mini-camp, but when I found out it was for the 80th spot to go to training camp, I started to shake my head.
Why do this? You have a team coming off a stunning failure in 2008, a coach on the hottest of seats, a team with many questions, fighting the perception - real or otherwise - that everything is a circus, and you open up yourself to something like this?
But then I thought about Adam Jones' wry smile when he said he could be back in Dallas on that CBS interview a few weeks ago. Well, now I know how it happens: He becomes a player in Irvin's show, wins the deal and is with the Cowboys in San Antonio. All for the veteran minimum.
Farfetched? Absolutely. Impossible? Only if the recently opened investigation to the Club Blaze shooting leads to a suspension.
Just a few more thoughts on this deal:
**Is this even allowable by the league? I have an e-mail in to find out.
** What happens if the guy gets hurt on the first day of training camp and is out for the year? The Cowboys are on the hook for at least a split salary for the year, which will eat up at least some cap space.
**What happens if the guy hurts somebody else? How would it look if, say, a cornerback wins the contest and takes out Roy Williams (the receiver) during one-on-one drills by mistake?
**He will not be in your off-season conditioning program. He won't take part in the organized team activities. He won't know the offense or defense. How in the heck would he have a chance to make it?

Since you missed the 'sarcasm' aspect.

Seriously? Wow. Yes I was being sarcastic. Very sarcastic. I guess it didn't work. Thanks for the heads up.

We are debating your blog entry and Pacman trying to get into the mix for the Irvin reality show.
Were your comments 'tongue in cheek'?
For some reason one guy didn't get it.
