What if it was say a person that had NO chance at all to make the team...like an extra kicker that is just brought in so Folk does not wear his leg out...and said kicker accidentally kicks someone in the eye during a block attempt. Would it be any different...again accidents and injuries happen.
If one of the guys makes the team it means he was hungrier and better than one of the other rookies (whether drafted or undrafted) and that means you got someone that beat out another for ST. Personally if they are better they should beat out someone else that is not. Again it means we got the best player for the position (again a STer). I don't care if it is deemed a punishment because of making fun of a philly STer.
Bottom line, if you get someone that actually makes the final team, then I would say they earned it and beat out other players...and I have no problem with that because at the end of the day he would have probably just knocked off another undrafted FA from the team.
Now as far as the OP always whining about the media...

"Hunger" is all fine and dandy, but if some schmo made the roster it's cuz he was talented enough to do it. Which means the bottom of our roster sucks.
I don't see it happening, just saying.
Vince Papale had hunger, but he made those Eagles teams cuz the talent level was horrible, not JUST cuz of his "Hunger".

Right?
TO is a distraction. There's no argument about it.
All it takes is the media to portray him as a distraction and the perception of it itself, turns into a distraction.
So it TO a distraction directly? No, but indirectly (thanks to the mediots) him being on the roster has become a distraction, through no fault of TO's, IMO.
