So--- we have too many RBs:

1. Zeke
2. Morris
3. McFadden
4. Dunbar
5. Darius Jackson (at least I think his last name is Jackson lol-- can't remember)

Who do we cut? Me? I cut Dunbar. The guy can't stay healthy, isn't great at picking up the blitz, and doesn't play STs. McFadden is a very nice vet RB to have, and IMO is a better replacement for Zeke should he get dinged (knock on wood) b/c he is a 3 down back like Zeke with speed. Morris is a durable thumper and I'd prefer to hold on to him as he can be valuable in short yardage. Jackson is a nice rookie that we can develop.

Just don't see how we keep Dunbar if we activate McFadden. Thoughts?

Towards the end of the season teams start snatching players off of practice squads,,,, hope they're not going to stick Jackson on there.

Dunbar plays special teams and had a key blitz pick up last week. So, whatcha talkin' about? Besides he is a hammerhead on the goal line.

Well in light of recent Mo news, he probably goes to IR so there's your spot.

Dunbar is a good blocker and had a key block last week.

Not sure how you don't know that he plays special teams.

Are you referring to the Dez TD last week? Yah-- not actually a great pickup by Dunbar. His guy broke through and he "rode" him through the pocket and Dak saw it and was able to step to his left and get off a great pass. Dunbar is a small dude and he is simply inferior to both Zeke and McFadden on blitz protection-- and it's not even close.

As far as STs... which units is he on? If he's on some-- he isn't do anything of note as I have not seen him make a tackle, down a punt, or return a kick. In short-- the dude is injury prone and replaceable. He has one exceptional ability: speed. He is a nice receiver out of the backfield...but now that we have Zeke, why would you throw it to Dunbar?

I just don't see the value he's bringing to the team considering the other guys we have. Who would you rather cut?

Well...I think we should find a CB to replace Mo. Don't want to see Leon McFadden starting for us should Carr or Scandrick go down (knock on wood).

See post #30 for my thoughts... By the way-- who would you cut instead of Dunbar? I'm not saying he's a bad player-- I'm saying we're stacked at RB and imo he brings the least value to the team than the other players once D Mac gets activated.

Morris has been pretty disappointing in his time, but it's hard to make an impact compared to Zeke. Still, I'd like to see McFadden out there a little bit.

Why are people talking about Jaylon in a McFadden thread? What happened to this thread?

this is really dumb, they got dunbar out there on 3rd downs and he cant block. Both Dunbar and Dmac should not even be on this roster which should be used for shoring up the depleted secondary.

Not entirely fair to Morris who hasn't had too many touches. THAT said...I have no issue with getting DMC some touches. Zeke shouldn't continue to carry the ball this much IMHO. Skins are up in only 4 days. We have guys PERFECTLY capable to lighten his load. We need his legs fresh and firing on all cylinders for the playoffs.
Agreed. Morris is a better all around back than Darren. He just can not get into a rhythm and get rolling. McFadden does not improve this offense.

Must have missed it... OK-- so he's an average kick returner. Who do you cut instead of him to make room for McFadden?
No one......McFadden is a JAG if there ever was one

technically no one has to be cut until McFadden is added to the 53 which is different....he can practice for 21 days before being added to the roster

Yeah I hate how Morris keeps getting thrown under the bus. I'm sure it's hard to get into a groove running when you don't get very many chances or series.

With that said, this seems to be a new problem for Dallas to have, too many great to decent running backs. I guess I wouldn't mind seeing what McFadden could do but I am not sure who he should replace.
