Archer - OTA observations

Absolute bonus if Damone Clark becomes a player
I thought he looked like he might have been a good pick when he came on fairly strong his rookie year coming back from injury, but then he fell off the map. Would be nice if it would click for him.

Should we be shocked if Grier beats out Milton for #2 or does coach Jones set the final depth chart?
I don't think it matters which is No. 2 because we're likely headed for the top of the draft if either has to play much. I think we'll give Milton every snap we can in the preseason because he needs it more than Grier.

Some notes from OTA #3 practice for the #Cowboys:

- Got our first couple live targets for George Pickens. One on a deep ball in 11 on 11 that was underthrown and broken up by Kaiir Elam, the other in the scramble drill in 7 on 7 where Pickens caught the ball falling out of bounds but kept his feet in for the TD from Dak Prescott.

- Malik Hooker exited practice during the team’s stretching period with head athletic trainer Jim Maurer. I didn’t see him return.

- With Hooker out, UDFA safeties Alijah Clark and Mike Smith got some run with the first team alongside Juanyeh Thomas. Israel Mukuamu played some outside corner with Andrew Booth absent.

- LB Damone Clark had an interception over the middle of the field on Joe Milton

- CeeDee Lamb and Osa Odighizuwa didn’t have their helmets on and weren’t participating in team periods, but still engaged with practice.

Cowboys Week 3 OTAs observations:

- With WR CeeDee Lamb off to the side today, we saw the most out of George Pickens since his arrival. Dak Prescott targeted him on a sideline end zone throw in RZ that Pickens fully extended for and caught.

- WR Jalen Tolbert also had an impressive TD grab in RZ work. Prescott fired one to the back of the end zone that Tolbert went over the top of a defender to haul in.

- Overall, up and down day for Dak Prescott. He went 8-for-14 and had his best efficiency in RZ work.

- The Joe Milton Experience was once again on full display. A 44-yard bomb to Jalen Brooks down the right sideline on a free play was beautifully placed. He did also throw a pick-six to LB Damone Clark. He went 7-for-9. Will Grier went 2-for-2.

- Rookie RB Jaydon Blue got a good amount of burn with the second-team.

- With Donovan Wilson and Malik Hooker both injured, the first-team safeties during the team period were Juanyeh Thomas and UDFA signing Alijah Clark.

- CB Israel Mukuamu got some more burn at outside corner than we’ve seen.

- I continue to like what I see from RB Miles Sanders. He looks super fresh.

- LB Shemar James and CB Andrew Booth were with the rehab group today.

- Two guys that looked good with the threes: WR Traeshon Holden and DE Luiji Vilain.

Dallas Cowboys OTAs today:

— Micah Parsons was at The Star but he did not practice.

— CeeDee Lamb was in attendance but did not practice.

— Good sign for DE Sam Williams (knee): After working on the cords he took part in individual drills.

— Dak Prescott had a really nice throw to Jalen Tolbert, who made an impressive toe-tap grab in the back of the end zone.

— Joe Milton effortlessly threw a beautiful deep ball up the right sideline to Jalen Brooks.

Wasn't it a deep crossing route where Michael Irving got hit and hurt?

Maybe it's an owner's rule to not run those routes.

No, he was injured on a slant. Eagles player was going to take a low shot at his head and he ducked right into the artificial turf.

WE'RE DOING crossing routes!!!!??? Nobody's ever seen anything like this in 10+ seasons!!!!
this is probably why

sorry, had to :muttley:

"Diggs has opted to rehab his surgically repaired left knee in Miami and away from The Star. He was not in attendance for the first two phases of the offseason program, and he has not taken part in the organized team activities over the past three weeks."

Not. Good.
