As the Giants starters fine tune in game action, our guys sit. Looking like a loss in week 1.

Cowboys have sucked wk 1 going back several years and was an issue way before McCarthy took over. IIRC they only have 2 or 3 wk 1 wins going back to 2014.

Another way to look at it is the Cowboys coaching staff doesn't need to see the starters in a preseason game. And the offense has been practicing against a better and faster defense than the Giants have. Maybe they're comfortable with what they've seen?

They rested the starters last season as well and the offense scored a whole 3 points against the Bucs in the season opener….Prescott went 14-30 for 130 yards, 1 iNts and no TDs

When something works so well, why change it?

The problem for us as fans with preseason games is we think we're watching football but what we're really watching is what the coaches want to look at. They can run one play just to get a look at how one specific player responds.

Yo Pops, the year before Prescott didn't play in the pre-season either. He went 42 of 58 for 403 yards and 3 TDS. He almost beat Brady and the SB Champs at their house. And he would've if it wasn't for a ticky-tack offensive pass interference, or maybe Garrett doesn't leave so much time on the clock for Brady to do his thing. Did you forget about at that?

"When something works so well, why change it?"

I'm sure that's what Garrett was thinking heading into the 2022 season.

That's kind of a big jump to conclusions. Especially considering the history Dak and the Cowboys have of consistently beating that team.
Is this where we bring out the numbers of our 90's Super Bowl Teams rarely winning a Preseason Game, and the 1-15 team winning all of them?

I used to hate hearing that when we were a bad team after the dynasty years. Team was so miserable I felt they needed anything to give us hope.

But finally have a team with enough depth and consistent winning seasons where I can see the point of it all again.

Giants 34
Cowboys 19
So the Giants will score 34 on our defense? Lol What a troll! :)

If that happens, I can already see your PM to Mountaineer.
