4-3, 3-4...either record has us at least tied for 1st place after 9 games

So no practice for 6 weeks then can return, right? And then no games for 8 weeks, not 8 games right? And can he still be on sidelines during games the entire period?

Not sure how I feel about this honestly. Is it 8 games minimum or 8 weeks taking a bye into account? I'd rather him miss 7 games not 8 especially if he is healthy after 8 weeks.

Tony Romo headed to IR-designated for return
Posted by Darin Gantt on September 22, 2015, 12:10 PM EDT

The Cowboys know they’re going to be without quarterback Tony Romo for around eight weeks because of his broken clavicle.

But now they’ve formalized that timetable.

According to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com, the Cowboys are placing Romo on injured reserve/designated for return.

That mean’s he’ll miss the next eight weeks, which with their bye covers seven games. He’d be eligible to play again on Nov. 22 against the Dolphins.

They didn’t use the IR/DFR tag on Dez Bryant, still showing some hope he’ll be back before the reported 10 to 12 weeks.

They’re working out other quarterbacks today, but are confident handing the reins to backup Brandon Weeden for the next two months.

This designation was necessary to bring in the backup QB. With the reinstatement of Hardy and McClain, there were a couple of cuts already on the way.

The front office continues to avoid managing based on wishful thinking. The NFC East foes can do their little cherry dances over the current state of our injuries, all the while forgetting just how much the arrow is pointing up for this organization. I'm shocked I'm saying this, but I even believe the transition from Romo, when it comes, will go 1000% better than it was from Aikman.

So the question is does Moore come up or do they sign a workout guy?
