Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm thinking this is actually possible, because you still have the possibility of hiring an Assistant Head Coach--which would still be a promotion for a position coach still under contract (Adams or Montgomery).
And my own speculation would be that DAL is strongly inclined to put a person of color in a coordinator position. Again, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's never happened.
So, conceivably, it plots out that Montgomery is your OC... Adams is your Asst HC/O-line coach... and then there'd still be some question whether Foster becomes your RB coach, or if Montgomery takes that on as a second role.
