Are Cowboys gearing up for FA shopping?

Agreed. I think when Jerry pays these huge contracts to guys he drafted, he sees it as a confirmation of how good he is at drafting. So in his twisted mind, when he gives a mega contract to a bum like Dak, he legitimately thinks he accomplished something. His mind is just totally warped and divorced from reality.
And pair that with Cap Boy, who is every bit a fool as Jerry, only cheaper and less interested.

You aren’t paying attention. Jerry didn't talk at the combine. He was actually working and getting deals done. That was a big change.

He actually did it ....... he went full

This is going to sound super delusional, but bear with me.

Old Jerruh said they aren't looking at free agency to "fill voids" (which is exactly what free agency is meant to do, but let's move on). However, Jones DID leave the door open for a trade.

Why would the Cowboys bother restructuring Dak and Lamb's deals if they do not intend to sign anybody? Maybe because they want the added cap space to trade for someone instead. Dare I say it....Myles Garrett?

He also said they could sign some free agents. However, I wouldn't pay any attention to him. Just watch what the do.

There is about to be a lot of disappointment on this board. Jerry just stated yesterday that he's not looking to free agency to fill any holes. He doesn't think the team has any holes and is close to completing. So, the plan is to sign our own guys and sprinkle in some rookies and dumpster dives.
Same plan we already know doesn’t work.

Dan Moore Jr LT, Will Hernandez RG, and one big name defender, if we could afford someone like Slay or Nick Bolton. Add a decent WR2 and maybe a RB if Dowdle wants too much money.

Draft DT, another RB, and DE in the first 3 rounds (whether in that order or not); use the four 5th rounders to get a NT and shore up the secondary with a couple corners and a safety.
So all we need to do is sign 2 starting OL, LB, WR2…nail our first 3 draft picks and then in rounds 5-7 hit on a starting NT, a couple of CBs and a safety.

OK

I thought he said he wants to play for a contender.

What this team is likely to do in FA is nothing more than mere speculation on our part. Do we (or you) want to put your faith in what Stephen says or Jerry? If the answer is neither one, then it's best to wait for free agency to actually commence before making that decision. Anything prior to that is in vain.

Well it is possible that is to go to micah to lessen his contract size. Money up front?
5 more days till we can start to see what if anything they will do.

It all looks like they intend to sign some guys, but with the jones boys and their circus
you just cant predict what they will or wont do.

So 2 days from now is 1st day of FA, I wonder if cowboys do anything ????
I think aggressive teams like Phil or Wash will be doing something on day one, will Dallas?

It is funny and odd to me how NYG were good for so long under coughlin, and then he leaves
and it all collapses to the point they make Dallas look good !

With all the reworking of big contracts going on, it's clear the Cowboys are getting ready to go on a spending spree. That doesn't mean they will spend that money wisely. This FO has proven they are pathetic at spending money wisely. So, get ready for some foolish spending.
