Thats my fear, this defense has really been playing out of their minds and way above their pay grade. Just a bunch of blue collar guys that are kicking *** and taking names. Can they keep it up vs a Rogers? Really hate the thought of seeing us get exposed come playoff time as it will be the same old crap.

After the past two weeks, I would say yes. Just ask yourself one question. Is there a team out there I just can't see Dallas having any chance to beat? I would say no and that makes them contenders.

Yes. They beat the defending SB Champs in Seattle. They have won all of their road games this year. They can control the clock, the offense can play in adverse weather, and they are playing well at this time.

the cowboys beat the seahawks when there defense was not full strength but now they are just dominating. then again they have not faced a great offenses in the last month. I hope we can get a chance to find out if we can beat them again. the seahawks will be looking forward I bet to beat the cowboys if they get the chance. I just wish that the cowboys could play them in dallas instead of seattle again.

All that is fine but are you saying Dallas has zero chance to be Seattle? If not and if there is no team out there you would say that about, then they are contenders.

This is not true. Their entire starting lineup was out there on defense. If anything they've weakened in that Mebane is now out but played then. Maxwell did get hurt in the game.

I think we are. But I am concerned that teams are getting a really good bead on our tendencies. Especially on first down. If we were to mix things up a bit against some of the best teams we might be even more effective on offense. Always running against 8 and 9 man fronts on first down probably wont cut it against good defenses like Detroit and Seattle.

There's a path where we could legitimately be considered contenders. I think the favorites are SEA and NE. I honestly don't know what would happen if we played GB either in DAL or in GB. I think we can hang with or be favored against everybody else right now.

We're passing the ball so effectively right now, it gives us a lot of leeway on defense if we just get a few turnovers and continue to play press aggressively.

As Doyle Brunson would say...."a chip and a chair".

All 12 teams have a shot, well 10 anyways excluding ATL/Car and Arizona. All it takes is for things to go right, get the lucky bounces and catch fire at the right time. I like our chances if they keep that inner fire and that chip on their shoulder.

One thing concerns me......SEA will not overlook us, they know we are capable of beating them; therefore, gaining extra attention. IMO, the path to the SB will run through the NorthWest and they are looking formidable atm. Thankfully, they don't have a high-powered offense to go along with the defense.
