Are the Cowboys playing with "House Money" now or will it be after another win?

Now of course we would all love to see them make the Sb and win but if they were to win this game wouldn't they be in a underdog role in the NFC championship and SB?
No way. We'll be heavily favored over both Carolina and Indianapolis.

Certainly I think there is less expectation for the Cowboys to win against a GB team at Lambaeu. Because of that there is naturally less pressure by the very definition of expectation. That does not mean that the goals and desires of the team is any different, any less then before.

Personally I expect players to feel more comfortable on the whole when pressure is not on their mind and they can focus on the game and only the game ; not the reactions of the outside world that inevitably creeps in at times. On the other hand, some players can thrive under those conditions.

I think the lowered expectations at this point from places outside the team could help the Cowboys. I also think the uproar caused by the officiating will give the Cowboys an extra edge. I'm certain the players feel they absolutely earned the win versus the Lions 100% (and rightfully so) while many are discrediting it because of the PI call. It might give them an extra edge when they go to Green Bay.

You don't understand the definition of House Money?

Perhaps I do not. Is it that we have gone further than anyone thought so any loss from here on out is ok? If that is the case, then I don't consider a loss at this point ok.
I want to win out while there's the opportunity. This team is not a dark horse and they have gone toe to toe and won the big battles. They can win out and if they don't I will be disappointed.
There are no guarantees for next year. If Romo goes down, this is all she wrote for a while or longer. Theres no right or wrong to it, It's just my opinion.
Is that what you mean as "House $$"?

Yes, being a underdog and not being given a shot on top of exceeding this season's expectation. But something tells me they maybe favored by like 1 if they beat GB and that is not what I want.

I was thinking since no one expected this team to be in the second of the playoffs this season are they now playing with house money. But then I thought that since Romo has not got beyond the 2nd round yet maybe it will take another game before we can say that the Cowboys no longer are playing with pressure. Now of course we would all love to see them make the Sb and win but if they were to win this game wouldn't they be in a underdog role in the NFC championship and SB?

The pressure would be removed since all expectations would have exceeded and anything after GB is a Bonus

Agree or Disagree?

The Cowboys have well exceeded my expectations.
Any more wins will be gravy in my eyes.

Ok, so if they take GB you think they will be favored in Seattle? Certainly they will be favored playing NC at home.

i think when you have a year to year league and you are in the playoffs I think you need to win it all if there is a chance because you may never get this close again. I think this team has a real chance to do something very special and I hope they fulfill there promise.

Yes I do because of these reasons below

1. 9-0 on the road
2. 6 game winning streak
3. Overcame all odds this season

Like I said it would be 1 or 2 pt favored

The concept of house money is bass-ackwards when applied to sports teams. Somehow we are supposed to accept that the media and fans have accurately predetermined their abilities and once they've past that point it's all gravy. The team should answer these "house money" questions with "when did all you idiots become experts on this team? Cuz you haven't gotten anything right so far..."

Agree. They have already exceeded all expectations except their own.

I have that same feelings with Carolina, that they can take out Seattle this weekend. Now Indy I don't know about.

For fans yes for the team no, people have their expectation and the team has their expectation.
