You can think you did nothing wrong. But you exposed yourself to this forum as the troll that you are. You posted a play purposely to get a rise out of the group. That is literally the definition of a troll. Why not post his highlight reel and say hey its been real buddy. You've sucked the last couple years but cheers.

Instead. You took the low road. Which is literally your calling card on here because again. You are nothing but a troll.
I guess that I missed the "We must pretend to be upset that the anchor that is Zeke is being released" memo.

I've wanted this dude off the team for a few years now, so I'm not going to join the phoney pity party now that he's finally gone.

He was good for a few years at the start, regressed every single year he played, got VERY handsomely paid by holding out with 2 years left (team guy all the way), and ultimately became the clear 2nd best RB on the team his last 2 years.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Elliot is a 10.8million cap hit if we keep him and if we release him now it would be an 11.8 dead cap hit. So releasing Elliot does not help with signing a players this year. I say keep Elliot one more season
I too would have rather extended him for 2 more seasons bringing his cap number down then outright release him. He still has value at a lower cap hit. He can block, catch and score tds in short yardage.

As someone who was a big fan of Zeke since college, I'm sad to see him go on that level, but it had to be done. His first couple seasons he was electrifying, but his body broke down after carrying the offense his first few seasons. He was smart and got his bag early because he knew after the abuse his body took those first couple years he wasn't going to last long. I don't hate him for that.

I can see him going to SF, Philly, KC, Cinci or Buffalo on a cheap deal and splitting carries.

Your just upset because your used up hero just got punted. Incredible day for me and the Cowboys!!!

Time to celebrate. :oldcouple::oldcouple::dance::dance::yourock::yourock::flagwave::flagwave::flagwave::grin::clap::clap:
Not upset at all. We knew this was coming, and as I said many times, it is what is best for the team. So time to move on. It is football business and it is a part of life.
When Dak is released, we will be here for you, to talk you off the ledge. :lmao:

As for me, no ledge, just relaxing, having a cup of coffee. Reading football news, e-mails, watching the stock market go up and down, Life is good.

Sorry, I dont understand. Makes no sense to me. I mean I understand how you might get attached. But when you watch a RB holding back a great back like Pollard, costing 18 million and making the Cowboys worse when he touches the ball? How can you sit there and watch that and not get pissed? Watching Zeke run the ball the last few years has been torcher. And then having to watch Pollard come in and then go back to the bench is nauseating.
It wasn’t Zeke’s responsibility to limit his carries. Blame the coaches. You have a weird sickness for Zeke it’s gross.

Well, that's a shame, but it has to be done for cap purposes. Hope we get either Robinson or McBride.

To be clear, I don't have an issue with Zeke being released. My issue is the disrespect shown to a player being cut. Especially, one that played through injuries the last couple of years when he could have checked it in and collect a paycheck on the sideline.
Hurting the team by playing hurt because you don't want to be outshined by the better RB (Pollard) is not something to be admired for, in my opinion.

Pollard shined anytime Zeke was in street clothes.

This is completely wrong. Zeke's cap hit is $16.7 million this year. Pre June 1st release would be $11.8 million dead cap for a savings of $4.8 million. Designate him a post June 1st release and the dead cap this year is $5.8 million for a savings this year of $10.9 million.

Again. Its not about that. He played for your apparent team. I am happy he was cut too.

Doesn't mean I have the NEED to post the video you did and pretend you did it because it was his last play for the Cowboys. You did it to get a rise. Again. Troll behaviour.

This team literally ran the guy into the ground. With no complaints on his end at all. If I was touching the ball 300 plus times a season I would be holding out early too. Its business. You want to be mad at someone. Be mad at the guys that PAID him and caved to his wishes.

Again. You could have gone about it a different way. You didn't. Thats your prerogative. You made a troll post and you know it. Now you are backtracking because it didnt garner the attention you thought it would bring you. Just Pappydog clapping for you.

I really think he becomes a Buffalo Bill. A team that only needs a RB in short yardage, protect Allen and kill the clock.

2.5-3 million contract for one season and a chance to play for a winner

Would have rather him taken a pay cut - still is a useful player on the team if used correctly.
Short yardage, goal line, and pass protection

Those aspects of his game are going to be missed next year

He’s washed up and this is a great day for the franchise. Either JJ was throwing everyone off the scent or SJ has taken control.

Thank you Zeke. But give a strong hometown discount, or good bye June 1.

There is a big need at WR, and I think Wagner would set the rest of 'needs' going into the draft.
I don’t want him for free. He is a progress stopper. June 1st cut, clean out your locker.
Three RB’s I wanted all signed already.
