Are The Cowboys Wasting Dak Prescott's Prime Years? G-Bag Nation

In the past 10 years, the NFL average of points allowed during a game was 22.8/22.9 points, 2016-2025. In 7 of those 10 years Dallas averaged 20 points.

Prime years? Dak is 33 years old. He's at the winding down phase of his career. His prime already came and went and we all missed it.

Shotty needs to come up with a better garbage time game plan for this offense. Dak's garbage time stat padding is really suffering.

Dak gets hit one time ....... throws an interception ........ then cannot throw at all.

But I bet he was ready to beat up some guy in the tunnel again after the game.

Well, a couple of instant takeaways from last night:

Dak's prime years may well be behind him. Starting to look like a punch-drunk fighter back there.

That unimaginative offensive scheme ('scheme' being charitable) does him no favors. No elements of surprise or creativity. Green Bay didn't have to change their defensive approach at all during the game. The O looks like the unwatchable stuff my Iggles ran last year.

Finally, slightly-OT, but Collinsworth made a (rare) interesting point last night. He singled out Pickens for not fighting to get open. I think you can be glad that Jerrah didn't sign him to a mega-deal.
