But let me get this straight after this long much talked about a much debated and for sure beating a dead horse subject about our drought. It's kind of odd how we're still top three in just about every category. strange? ironic?..Agree totally.
Americans are like spoiled brats - they go for whatever is shiny. Always want the new popular toy. Front runners, bandwagon jumpers on. "Americas Team" is whomever is winning now. Period.
As far as the Cowboys being that still, NO - thats long over now - its been a long time since the 1970s and Tom Landry's glory days teams.
Patriots definitely deserved that distinction for how long they were on top, especially in a much harder to win in SALARY CAP ERA.
I would agree it has now shifted to the Chiefs. But, maybe that because of where I live. Im in St Louis and many here have become Chiefs fans since we haven't had an NFL team, so I see Chiefs fans all the time now.
And I just checked the Cowboys ranked 7th in the entire league in win percentage since 2016 but they ranked third in the NFC only behind the Eagles and Packers in win percentage since 2016 to say they're not still relative and somehow they've lost the Americas Team label, they can't even lose it in the first place that moniker is ours, and it will always be ours...
