Are the Eagles this years version of the '05 Steelers?

No, the AFC will rock the world of what ever NFC team has the misfortune of being the ceremonial sacrifice to the tune of 45-10 or worse.

We have done pretty well against the AFC. We have best record 3-1. That one loss was a hiccup to Jags.

I'll give them their due for winning three division games on the road, in a row

but you forget, these are the EAGLES... their Super Bowl is the regular season

I am not really an optimist, so I say there is no way the Eagles lose to the Falcons this week, which would cause them to lose all the momentum they have just regained through this tough stretch. If they lose they would be on the road the following week, they will handle their business just to host a game and stay home in the first round. They have a veteran team, a playoff veteran team, they know how important these games are. With all of that said, plus their recent winning streak they could ride that wave all the way to Miami, where they could beat the Chargers (who everyone thinks will represent the AFC, and remember how they stopped LT last year?). It is certainly no given, but it is also not out of the realm of very real possibility either. Like the Steelers of last year they seem to be getting HOT at the right time, or "peaking" if you prefer.

No, the Eagles are not this year's version of the 2005 Steelers. Why? Because Roethlisberger is a heterosexual.:fact:

can you IMAGINE what LT would do to the Eagles? Like 400 yds and 8 TDs.

Everyone "IMAGINED" what LT was going to do last year to the Eagles...17 yards.

Knowing my luck, yeah. Last year the Steelers, this year the Iggles. :bang2:

Seriously, I doubt it, but it wouldn't shock me at this point.

member 1995? i no the record of us qas 12-4 but we had some tough weeks in the end of the season.

We also had a team that had been to the NFC championship game the year before and won two SB's the two years prior to that.

This team hasn't won a playoff game since '96. I fail to see the comparison.
