sadly, we are cursed with a mediocre gm. the worst gm wouldn't consistently produce 8-8 clubs.
With a franchise QB and 2 future HOF's he would.

the worst gm in football got a franchise qb as a free agent?
why don't all the really bad gm's do that?

He didn't
We are not cursed. We simply have poor leadership at the top. It's not a curse.

Parcells built the core that contends today. He had to step aside and let the Tuna clean up his 5-11 mess.
Jerry hasn't ever built anything.
Well, there are the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Oakland Raiders, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns that have been unable to do much of anything over the past decade, other franchises such as the Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions would belong amongst the aforementioned cursed however by drafting franchise QBs' they seemingly have potential again.
This thread is kind of two-fold, who are the "cursed franchises" and are we amongst them? It's going on one playoff year in twenty years and we've had two bonafide Hall of Famers come and going soon without much of any success (DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten)... Arguably outside of 2007 we've not been a dominant team since the Aikman era....
I know. Jerry was gifted a nucleus by a real coach and interim de-facto GM, then merrily commenced with it's dismantling.
If you remember, he commented after Parcells left that his way didn't work, despite the obvious turnaround with a young emerging core, and that he no longer had to walk on egg shells.
Parcells left with this comment - Before long, you won't even know I was here.
Jerry fell all over himself to get back to being large and in charge. Parcells warned you of it before he left. It was his way of saying "Good luck with this guy".
