Come week 1 the o-line will be fine. The offense will put up enough points and hold the ball long enough that if the defense can just luck their way into a few stops we should win.

we just can't field a reliable defense, i see a repeat of 2016. probably barely make the playoffs and the defense for the 3rd time will be our undoing

Of course we should be a bit worried.

This defense just isn't very deep, and with injuries to Hitchens and suspensions to arguably our two best pass rushers (Irving/Moore) we're just not in good shape defensively.

And unfortunately, any new wrinkles we would've had on offense (Switzer/Rico) will not be ready for week 1.

Oh and not to mention, no Zeke.

The Giants are a good team and, more importantly, a matchup problem.

Yes we need to be concerned to a degree. It's not as bad as many think, but it's not as good as some think either.

Offense, not too concerned. Also depends on if Zeke will play. Zeke can counteract the OL at LG. But I am more concerned with the penalties from Collins at RT. If Zeke does not play, then this is where Linehan needs to be creative a bit more. I am fine with DMC / Morris back there, but Morris in pass protection is not as good. But they can pull to help blocking at LG if needed depending on the defensive fronts.

Defense, this is the concern, we don't know how the secondary will e at all, with the vet players as well as the rookies. So far, not good. The suspensions and injury to TCraw and such will have the DL in a state of flux until Moore then Irving return. However, will some player emerge in the meantime, as well when all are back.

LB's, not good, this is why they needed to draft one or two, instead of the 2 DT's in the 7th. Hitchens out, Jaylon still getting to 100%, looming suspension from Wilson. Durant hasn't played yet, Nzeocha, what do we have in him, keep waiting so far. Wilber, seems lost a good part of the time to me.

Will need to score a lot of points, as this d can't be trusted at this point. As usual. Wait to see in a few players step up. But we been saying this every year for how long now. I been saying this D will be better than many think. But now, I am taking a step back to hoping it plays better than most think.

But heck, tomorrow I may feel different...LOL...

Definitely concerned about the defense but the offense is ready to roll and will carry Dallas to the postseason.

will their WR's play? Will Zeke play?
1) if the answers are no and yes, we win BIG....
2) if the answers are yes and no, then I think we are looking at a 31-27 game (either team could win)
3) if the answers are no, and no, then we win something like 27-17
4) if the answers are yes and yes, we win something like 34-24 (Zeke on the field drains the clock and they don't have as many opportunities)

I can't say I am not concerned, I am never comfortable until the game is in hand...but I like our chances

Im always concerned. the giants have beat Dallas 3 straight times. Mcadoo is a mike mcarthy imposter and runs them like the packers are run. Garrett and this staff struggle mightily with the mcarthy and the packers. So yes I am concerned.

I think the giants offense is going to be excellent but I think Dallas offense will make a lot of plays on this giants defense this time. I can only imagine how motivated they are, when jenkins says dez only runs 3 routes and is easy to defend in the offseason you know dez hears that.

Last night the giants got dinged a little. Eli Apple injured his ankle for the second time this season and jay bromley sprained his ankle.

Add to it OBJ might be limited. I don't think the Giants are going to be able to run or keep us honest with the run.

It really depends on how the officials are going to treat the Giants OL. Remember that the Packers OL sucked but the darlings were allowed to hold more than most teams so it was a non-issue. Will the off-season champ all-star Giants offense get the same treatment?
