Are We Down to 3 Names?

Barring a trade up or down, it looks like we have narrowed the focus to three names:

Aaron Donald
Timmy Jernigan
Anthony Barr

I didn't include Zach Martin since he has not been reported as being a pre draft visitor. I think they learned their lesson with Claiborne and won't spend a #1 on someone who has not visited.

I think that's very accurate.

Of the three, I think they might trade down and try to grab Jernigan. They might be less scared to lose him by trading down than the other two--since there is more depth at 1T than DE and 3T in this draft.

I'd be happy with any of the three.

Of that list I want Barr or Donald at 16. If gone then trade back.
Just because they brought in Jernigan doesn't an they are looking at him at 16. They bring guys that are 2nd and 3rd round players too

I think the CZ is down to 3 names potentially, but not for me...there are just too many options @ #16 at the moment...I think those 3 are at the top of the list for guys that could be there, but you never know who might fall...what if evans is there? (for example)

Depends on who you believe with Martin. Watkins says no he has not visited, Clarence Hill says yes. Hill has far more credibility as far as I am concerned.

Yep. Everyone keeps forgetting about Shazier. Dallas is extremely high on him. I'd be willing to bet, if they trade down and pick up a high 2nd, they turn those into Jernigan/Shazier or Shazier/Jernigan.

I think those 3 are the most logical names with trade down as the next option. And I have a hard time believing Martin, or any o lineman, will be the pick. I'm all for building the trenches, but 3 1st round picks in 4 years on the o line? Too much investment into 1 area in my opinion. Defense is a necessity and we have too many holes on D to not be able to find someone on that side of the ball to take.

I think Martin is only an option at 16 IF the guys they like are already taken and they can not find a trade down option they like.

I think they like Donald and Barr as their main targets at 16.

If they are gone I think it falls to Ealy.

If he is gone as well and they can not trade down I think they go for Martin or Jernigan

Of course this is all speculation at this point.

Could be, if they are both gone, hopefully Jernigan is there.

Those are the three names that seem to fit dire need picks on a flailing Defensive line. I like the DTs better than Barr mostly because he's 242 lbs.

HOWEVER....if a player slides the caliber of TE Ebron, WR Evans, QB Maziel, QB Bridgerewater or WR Watkins...they'd be hard to pass up because we are talking Franchise Player.

Though FS is a huge concern personally, LB Cj Mosley has some real talent and would be better than taking a Safety but you couldn't complain about upgrading the middle of the Defensive Backfield.
