Are we living witnesses of a new era, or a new legend?

I was there for Meredith to Morton...Morton to Staubach...Staubach to White..and White to Aikman....

I've never seen anything like this.

The odd thing is, if Romo would have struggled just a bit more, I'd almost feel more comfortable thinking he's the real deal.

But so far, this has all been fantasyland so it's a bit hard to grasp.

That said, yeah, I think we have our next great QB.

I go back a little further to the first QB who was only 5'6". Sorry I can't think of his name right now.

I could be mistaken as both Staubach and Aikman had the prototypical size and skills but I really think Romo IS the QB of the present and the future for Dallas. If he is, it will be a tremendous relief not to have to worry about a QB for the next several years.

Eddie Lebaron. :)

This will be a good time to remember and I hope this thread turns to be real and that Romo becomes the next Aikman

I say Romo is the real deal. So much so that I have eaten the chesse :laugh2:

Romo's season to date has the feel of Kurt Warner's 1999 season. It is a perfect storm of a guy who understands the system, is surrounded by an embarrasment of riches at the skill positions, and has a skill set that is ideal for the offense he is running.

I'm not suggesting that Romo shares Warner's skill set. In fact, I think they are very different skill sets, and I think Romo's skills are more versatile.

I agree. this is almost too real. The guy can't be "that good". When does he screw up? The two passes to barber were both pro-bowl quality.

he was so calm throwing those passes with a linebacker chasing him. that release is so quick! it looks like it is so easy for him right now. in romo we trust

This season is beginning to feel like the start of the dynasty in the 90's. The mistake to avoid is addition by subtraction. There needs to be addition w/out subtraction as far as players go. It would be a good insurance move to keep Bledsoe as a backup. A team needs two capable players at all positions due to injury.
