For some assistants, being a head coach is very important to them and in those cases, I think money means less than the opportunity to be a HC. Money is obviously important, but that’s not always everything to an assistant coach with dreams. If Jerry paid them like head coaches, would they stay?
Ryan appears to be the favorite for the Houston Texans job. There is also a ton ofminority coaching candidates that you can’t say they are token interviews. Especially defensive coaches. The Rooney rule has taken time but there are a number of good minority candidates now.Unfortunately, there’s a strong possibility he’s the Rooney rule sacrificial lamb
I dunno.....I've been critical of Moores play calling but it seems he's improved a lot over the past few seasons. And he's taken a QB everyone calls a bum, backup, over rated, can't throw guy and made him general of a top 5 offense these past few years. Be careful what you ask for......the grass is pretty green on our side right now!Should be other way , happy to lose Moore .
How do? His defense is ridiculously successfulUnfortunately, there’s a strong possibility he’s the Rooney rule sacrificial lamb
True but tragic.Quinn yes. Moore no
You are correct about grass being green on the other side, but with a unconventional OC , situational football is never a given, doing stupid things in most in opportune moments have been a signature of Moore , obviously he is good with playcalling in general as offensive performance has been good for a few years , but it could be attributed to Good OL, above average QB , and a good mix of TEs and WRs. ( its not like that he had to work with Washington commodore like players )I dunno.....I've been critical of Moores play calling but it seems he's improved a lot over the past few seasons. It’s not about the money. Quinn wants the lead role. But only in the right opportunity. Not sure if Denver is it or not.I think Jerry can pay both more than what they would get otherwise. There's no salary cap for coaches.
And this sums up what the league thinks of both. No one wants Moore and he obviously does zero to impress when he interviews. Quinn will be gone after this year. Unfortunately, no one will want Moore. Same as no one wanted Garrett when he was the OC. Even though both had really good offenses numbers wise on good teams, no one wants them as their coach.Quinn yes. Moore no
THIS!^^^^^^^^^^^^Honestly I am pissed that any of our coaches would take interviews right now. Does Quinn care if our Defense goes tits
up tomorrow because he was doing a interview instead of his job here. If this happens how much would you want him. I personally would have more respect for him if he said I will interview and listen after the season is over…
If I was JJ I would let Quinn go without a counter offer. He blew a 14 point lead and a 17 point lead and in a SB he let his defense at the time blow the biggest lead ever. That was sick to watch and I don’t care who you root for.
Don't be so sure. Promotions that lead to incompetence and ineffectiveness (See the Falcons) are not worth it, especially when your prime zone as a defensive coordinator is paying more. It’s not about the money. Quinn wants the lead role. But only in the right opportunity. Not sure if Denver is it or not.
yeh that's what i believe so as well.Quinn yes. Moore no
