Are we only afraid of San Francisco and Philadelphia?

49ers on the top of my list.

best thing the eagles did was get aj brown. Still. I think they fade into back half of season. Where 49ers may get stronger.

I think the eagles may be peaking to soon and will come back to bite them later in the season...not worried about them.

From the NFC?

That's what I keep hearing. That those are the only 2 real threats to us in the NFC.

Philly has assembled quite a team. Rush had trouble against the dynamic corner duo of Slay and Bradberry. No idea if Dak will have the same troubles, but if we have Tyron back and our offense line becomes beast mode.... Dak will have time to dissect the Eagles defense. Maybe it'll be a different game than Game 1.

49ers have all the star players. They're 3-0 in their division most importantly, and their defense at times can suffocate you. Aiyuk, Samuel, Kittle, and McCaffrey.... holy cow. No team in America has that many defenders to match that many offensive top players. Most people think they're better than Seattle.

I think Giants are improved, but not a powerhouse. The Vikings are 6-1, but their division is a joke. Seattle has everyone behind Geno Smith - they love him right now. But I think his steam comes to a full stop at some point. Not that he's gonna sink completely, but I don't see him leading them past a powerhouse defense which is what you can expect in the NFC Championship game.
philadelphia? no. even with Rush's worst game, it was still a close game.... SF is tougher.

no….. no but that McCaffrey guy gives defenses the willies.
Maybe a CMC from a few years ago but the turf monsters have not been kind to him recently hence why he is in SF and not in NC.

It's crazy how much they're getting out of Geno Smith, too. He's tied with ARod for the NFC lead in TD passes and has fewer picks.

I was living in the NY area and the local media was merciless on Geno and rightly so at times. He has to be in the running for comeback player of the year and Carroll has to be considered for coach of the year IF they keep that train rolling

I have total confidence in our awesome offense esp after they took apart the 30th-ranked defense on Sunday!
Kidding aside no way we beat any of these teams in the playoffs as our offense will not be able to score the points required.
Just like in last year's wildcard loss at home vs the Niners.

You only say this as it is your way of not wanting to give Dak any credit for getting the offense going for 49 points.
I don’t care what team it is against. It is very hard to get 6 TD’s in a game as one was a defense TD.

True….but if healthy he can put up that trifecta like yesterday. 1 TD pass thrown….1TD pass caught…and one rushing TD. The Niners FO put that team in a strong position…..and that displeases me

I think the NFC is still wide open. Philly is in the pole position for #1 of course, but I don't think you can overlook anyone in the playoffs regardless of seeding.

We just need to stay healthy and score points. I have confidence our defense is good enough to win most games, but our offense has to deliver.

" Defense wins Championships "

It's always seems to be the Defense that has failed us in the playoffs.

Last two times we've been in the playoffs- Rams and Niners respectively flat out ran our poor run defense outta town.
Has anything changed or improved in that area (run defense) on our part as of today ?

Not afraid of any team out there.
Concerned about the run defense, yes. But afraid to play them, no.

Perhaps afraid is the wrong word….I would prefer not to play the Niners or Eagles in the first round of the playoffs. Winning 3 road games in the playoffs is difficult and I would hope one of those teams I mentioned gets knocked out early.

I just want to see this team in the SB so bad that I don’t care how they get there.

They almost beat Philly on the road with a scrub QB turning the ball over and giving up the first half. Not afraid of Philly at all.

Worst NFC lineup in 40 years.

Just Philly. With our defense, I don't fear any team with a pocket passer. The 49ers D isn't what it was last year. But my opinion is based on right now. A lot can change in 5 to 6 weeks.

I still think Bucs can be an issue if they get healthy and get things figured out, the season is long. They are 2-0 vs us with Brady.

Maybe, but the Bucs have multiple problems, and not the least of which is no Gronk.

Gronk was not only an excellent tight end overall, but he and Brady had the same kind of connection as did Meredith and Hayes, Aikman and Irvin and Roger and Pearson. When Brady needed help, Gronk was there.

Well, he's gone, Brady has no Edelman, either. He's finding out what it's like to be an NFL quarterback who has mostly mediocre wide receivers.

Don't see the Bucs making the playoffs. I could be (won't be anything new, lol) wrong, but that's my read on it...
