Chiefs vs Cardinals showdown would be a great matchup, two top defenses...

Wade is a good guy but I have a tough time rooting for him I'm still pissed about the 2007 season. His camp cupcakes and signing off on Romo's trip to Cabo right before the playoff game with the Giants still Irks me.

For all of the crowd that thinks that the NFL wants Pitts to win as some type of conspiracy need to settle down.

No.

You settle down.

On that ridiculous Martavis Bryant summersault circus trick last week:

“I don’t think this is a catch,” Blandino said. “If I just had a blank slate and I could say, ‘Do you think it’s a catch or not a catch’?, I would said no catch. But the ruling on the field was a catch, and we have to see clear and obvious evidence that it’s not a catch.”

Blandino emphasized it’s not a catch rule question but a replay rule issue.

“Is there indisputable evidence to overturn the ruling on the field of a catch?” he said. “It was ruled a catch on the field, so the basic premise of replay since its inception is the call on the field is presumed correct unless we have indisputable visual evidence that it is incorrect, then we can make a change. You watch the play live, and the question is going to be control. Initial control. Bryant is going to pin the ball against his leg . . . and then as he rolls over he’s going to maintain that control. And again the issue, did he have control with the right foot down? There is some movement, Slight movement does not necessarily mean loss or lack of control. He pins the ball against his leg there. Is the foot still down as he starts to go to the ground? . . . Again, not indisputable.”

Watching that game was pretty annoying. They basically gifted the Steelers that game in multiple ways. Funny how that has happened so often to that team over the decades. Almost a year has passed and now he brings up the indisputable evidence thing.

That really was an incredible contradiction that nobody really is talking about.

Wade actually has a pretty good record as head coach....

His biggest fault as a HC was not being able to prepare a team for the playoffs he only won one playoff game as a HC despite coaching some good teams. He couldn't even win a playoff game with John Elway as his QB. Denver went on to win back to back SB's after he got fired. He had talent at QB with every team he was handed. He admitted one of the biggest mistakes he ever made was benching Doug Flutie for the playoffs who started 15 games for Buffalo in 99 in favor of Rob Johnson and it back fired click on the link. He had his team completely unprepared on the KO vs Tenn in what turned into the Music City Miracle.

Wade had the 07 Cowboys completely unprepared for the playoffs. The team was in a tailspin the final month of the season but he shrugged it off claiming he didn't see a problem developing. He kept coddling his players until the team became complacent. He signed off on Romo and Witten going to Cabo prior to the playoff game with the Giants. Never have I heard of players leaving the country to go on an exotic vacation a week before a playoff game. Wade and his cream puff coaching style helped throw away a great opportunity that season.

I like Wade as a person but I'll never forgive him for the 07 season arguably the most disappointing season in franchise history.

Couldn't give a crap about Ware. He was part of the finger pointing during the 2010 debacle and laying down until his HC was fired. Great player, but he was supposed be a leader and the way he and Ratliff acted, especially in that Green Bay game, was shameful. I don't think the same way about a lot of the players we used to have that were around during 2010.

The player I'm hoping gets a ring is Alex Smith.

One of the biggest mistakes Jerry ever made was not hiring Wade as the DC instead of the HC. He's always been a good DC and was a lousy HC he even admitted it.

I think at that point Wade Phillips had not reached that stage of personal evaluation that he would admit he was not cut out to be a head coach. There were many arm hair tugging press conferences where he would defend his win-loss record.

First game I'm for the Chiefs because their fans are like Cowboys fans and I sympathize with them. Second game it's the Cardinals because I'm not a fan of the Packers at all. Tomorrow it's the Panthers and, of course, the Broncos.

He reached the point that he wasn't cut out to be a HC after the Cowboys quit on him vs the Packers in 2010 and he was fired. He was offered an interview by Tampa for their HC opening prior to Lovie Smith's hiring but he turned it down.

Is he any different than Murray? He decided we couldn't afford to keep him so he bolted.
