There is certainly a case to be made that Jerry and Stephen haven't helped. But, the truth is, Garrett is just a mediocre HC. He's the Marvin Lewis of the NFC, just with a couple playoff wins.

Why would they need to sabotage him when they could fire him? There's no huge backlash that would result form Garrett being replaced. This is just the FO being cheap and thinking that they can only upgrade through the draft, despite us having no 1st rounder and despite Amari helping us from picking in the top 10 to winning our division.

Nope. We’ve got a top-10 roster in terms of talent if we have everybody back right now.

That said, the number of people who blame the coach for getting a top 8 finish with top 10 talent, and a top 15 QB and little VFA support, and ultimately losing to a top 4 team boggles me.

This team needs to keep getting better and deeper. And we underutilize FA a bit. I don’t want to see crazy signings, but almost every year there are signings that could help us after the initial feeding frenzy that we just don’t make.
