I'd rather have picked Jelani Woods in the second round and Jalen Wydemyer in the 6th or as a ufa. Both guys were there for the taking. It makes me I'll.

We knew all the best tes would be gone before we picked in round 3.

Wydermymer from A&M wasn't even drafted. But got picked up by Buffalo as a ufa. Buffalo is gonna be a powerhouse this year.

Woods scored a TD on every 5 1/2 passes and put up the best combine #'s

These were the most athletic receiving tes in the draft imo.

Woods came in for a 30 visit

I'm not sure why we didn't get him on pick #2.

Anything can happen. Anyone who says he can't be a star is blowing smoke because we don't know. Is it real likely? No, but who knew how good Witten was going to be as a third-round pick? Who knew Schultz would be starter?

That was the theme throughout the draft. Every team knew what we were going to do. So they picked a player ahead of us that they knew we wanted to spite us. That was what many posted or some version of it.

Don't believe it was to spite us, but if you have a pretty good feel for what a team is looking for (and we made that pretty easy), then if you are wanting a player at that position, it makes sense to trade up in front of that team. Even with Tyler Smith, teams tried to trade up in front of us because they had a pretty good idea that we wanted a guard in the first round. That's what happens when you let your starter go in FA, don't sign a replacement and have shown that you don't think the in-house candidate can do the job.

Every round, it was pretty much a checklist. If you want a G, DE, WR or TE, trade up in front of Dallas. I don't think it is a coincidence that Arizona also took a TE just before our pick. The Cardinals thought about trading back, but didn't.

Yep, Gronk also has longer arms than Ferguson, and he doesn't seem to play as fast as Gronk.

I'm not saying he's the next Gronk, but, there are similarities in his build. He has this presence in games that comes up big when a team needs a 1st down, sometimes. And he obviously enjoys making plays. Very sure hands because he's a big target and knows how to block.

RAS isn't the highest, but looking at him, speed aside, you want to say it's higher than it is, because his enthusiastic approach to playing the position makes it look like he's more athletic than his tests show.

Witten tan a 4.65, which is slightly better than average. This guy ran a 4.81, a good bit worse than average. Witten could run fairly well and stretch the seem in his younger days, he was a shell of himself the last few years. It was obvious if you look at how his ypc progressivly went down!

Uhhh, because picking DE/Edge Rusher Sam Williams was waaay more important to pick with our 2nd round pick than any TE.

You guys are failing to point out Jake Ferguson's better 40 time (4.71) from his Wisconsin Pro Day...than the 4.81 time he put up at the NFL Combine.

Jason Witten ran a 4.65 40 time.

Dalton Schultz ran a 4.75 40 time.

Blake Jarwin ran a 4.72 40 time.

As one can see, Jake Ferguson is right up there with Jarwin and Schultz in comparable 40 time speed, just slightly slower than the young Witten version...but not by much. Ferguson's speed is plenty of good enough.
