To aquire more talent if we get early draft picks. This might be the process.

Stephen Jones doesnt have to pay mega contracts this way. Win win for all.

Garrett can continue to coach up the draftees.

Players don't intentionally suck. Especially when said players are looking for 2nd or 3rd contracts.

The team is 2-3 cause of the coaching(lack there of), players and the Front Office failures.

If Jerry is still going to keep Garrett no matter what the end result is, I don't give two poops how they finish the season.

And the idea of Garrett coaching anyone up? Thats laughable. Look no further than the QB for a perfect example of Garrett's ineptitude in 'coaching up' talent.

You give these people far too much credit.

Which player specifically?

How does "tanking intentionally" work? Are we sitting healthy starters? Are we not attempting to gain yards or score points? Is our defense just sitting down and letting teams score? Most guys are trying to get paid, so what's in it for them?

I see this "tanking" stuff mentioned time and again yet no one seems able to coherently explain how it works. It usually just means they're disappointed with the results.

Absolutely no way this team tanks. Here’s why:

1. NFL players have waaaay less job security than the NBA and MLB where you do see teams tank on purpose to get draft priority.
2. If you are a young NFL player on the 3rd or 4th year of your first contract, you absolutely MUST play well in order to get that payday usually found on the second contract. To be shown tanking on film would be career suicide.

Tanking in the NFL almost never happens. When teams lose, 99% of the time, it’s because they are either not talented enough or don’t have very good coaching. Or both.

Easy, players start making business decisions on tackling or taking hits. It's not going to matter that much as Jacksonville is going to feast on the dead bones of the Cowboys this season and the schedule only gets tougher as we stumble towards the last half of this hopeless season. The only way to get better next year is to draft early and often and get a qualified QB. Until then, losing begets losing with the clappers laughing all the way.

+1 .......You would think, 99.9% of NFL fans know this.
