Are you buying or selling the 2025 Dallas Cowboys as a quality football team

The 2025 Dallas Cowboys will be a quality football team

Would you be able to resign him? It seems like he would be a one year rental.
Yes. Cap issues are way overstated and when it comes time to pick and choose who they sign I'm pretty sure they won't be drawing the line at WR2 after all they went through to get him. No reason for a one year rental for a team without a legit SB shot. Of course if he goes off and leaves we get the 3rd round pick back and basically have him for almost nothing, but I don't think that was the plan. if he plays well he'll be here IMO

That makes sense. I was just wondering if they could afford that with Bland needing a deal and a humongous deal for your all world DE. I just don’t get why Jerry didn’t try to do Cee Dee and Micah after their 3rd year???

I am neither buying nor selling, just holding for now.

There really should have been that 3rd option.

I really think this is a question that should be asked a week before the opening game of the regular season.

Of the 4 years with 7 seed playoffs, there have been 8 teams with 9 or fewer wins that qualified for the playoffs.

So if that is your only qualifying factor of what a quality football team is, then, sure: it is plausibly Dallas loses 7-10 games and situations align where that leads to a playoff birth.

What does “contend” specifically mean?

Buying. Offense has improved at WR and offensive line. This team will compete. Can they stop the run is the biggest question but if you can put up points then it's not as big of an issue.

Because Jerry...

I don't see them paying Both Bland and Diggs huge $'s and especially if Revel works out. I think either Diggs is traded/cut after the season or Bland is not signed. My preference would be trading Diggs but I don't want to sidetrack the thread with that discussion and again that ASSUMES Revel works out. They could also sign Bland next offseason and since the first year of a new deal is always a small cap hit, they could keep them both for 2026 also and then decide in 2027 which to let go if no 3rd CB steps up before next year.

For the purposes of this thread/poll: The definition of a "quality football team " is a legitimate playoff team, with a reasonable expectation to contend
Buying. The team will be pretty good. If it's ascending @ the end of the season it could make noise.

As a true SB contender. God no.

Why? Nothings going to change the feeling of what the team can do unless it's the dreaded I word.

Sell-

Unproven coaching staff, although I think they did a good job hiring the assistants.

Lack of talent at RB, LB, CB, S, DT, LT.

An aging QB who will likely miss 3+ games minimum due to injury.

Adding another WR doesn’t generally bolster the offense. It merely means that you have potential. Without the required QB play it means nothing. I have yet to see a receiver pass the ball to himself.
I beg to differ. you want to tell me there is no difference between Mingo and Pickens? and they both have the same effect on offense.
we saw Eagles make a trade for Brown to improve their offense because at the time their WRs were not much and their offense with hurts was struggling.
all you have to do is look at 2018, when the roster only had 4th and 5th WRs and they struggled first 8 games. they added cooper and the second half of season it was a top 3 offense and made the playoffs. so then there is that.
