That's not the point though. You specifically said we aren't able to get the more sought after coaches because they aren't interested in coming here. I just want to know where this information is coming from. So I'll ask again. Of the coaches who were available, which ones turned us down? Declined our interview requests? Were offered a job and turned it down? McCarthy is the only other one we seemed to negotiate with and, last I heard, still is unemployed.

Oh, and the why of it. Jerry insists on control. No sought after HC wants to come here because he cannot hire his own staff and pick his own players. Jerry last let Tuna do that, and Jerry publicly vowed to never do it again.

Seriously, how do so many not know this? It wasn't a secret.

Look nobody's happy with this hire but some of us are willing to give it a chance we have no other choice just calm down relax let's see how they build out the staff but more importantly Jerry's getting a lot of blowback for this hire and maybe in order for him to prove he's the smartest man in the room for this hiring maybe he goes a little bit further this offseason than he did last maybe he supports Brian schottenheimer I know it's crazy to think that but maybe he does more in the draft and more in free agency to give Brian schottenheimer a better footing and if BS is successful, then Jerry looks good, so I can see that happening...
