I’m not sure if I am.
we truck walked two teams the Vikings and the colts in a really fun show boaty way.
we looked pathetic against inept teams like the Texans and the packers.
blew leads to the Jaguars and the packers.
lost our quarterback for a few games and the backup managed the team to a sturdy record.
we get our hall of fame tackle back just in time for us to lose our starting corners.
we have two electric players on offense but at times our offense can’t just kill the clock.
we’ve known our first round opponent for weeks now and could barely care about these regular season games because of it.
12-5 tho whoda thunkit
In Rush's "wins" the team had 10 sacks in the 4 games average 2.4 a game.
In Dak's "losses" the team had 3 sacks in the 2 games, 1.5 a game.
I sense a trend here. Sure Dak could have played better, but Rush had the benefit of a better defense. Not to mention Rush's 4 wins came against the Commanders, Giants and the Rams. Dak can't beat but weak teams? What do you call the Giants, Rams and Commanders, currently cumulatively 19-30-2. Yes, he beat the Bengals, but they were 0-2 at the time Dallas played them, and Dallas' defense held Burrow to 199 yards passing, the Bengals ran for only 89 yards. 6 of Dallas' 20 pts came from 2 Maher fgs, both 50 yards or more. Burrow didn't have but 1 td pass and that with 3:45 left in the game, and Dallas with a 20-10 lead.
Yes, Dak hasn't played well, but to think just putting in Rush instead of Dak will result in a string of wins against the Eagles, Titans and Commanders, the last 2 of which are consecutive road games, is wishful thinking at best.
Have to face it, with Lewis, Brown, Steele, and possibly LVE, out the rest of the year, this team has too many exploitable weaknesses to win more than maybe one playoff game. Replacing Dak is a band-aid approach, it doesn't address the real issue, which isn't going away anytime soon.
And no need to name that person, we all (at least any real Cowboys fan) know who he is...
