Obviously it's Dak right now, but Showers was getting what looked like zero protection at times, especially after Green ran out of gas. Showers really needs to work on the short passes, though. That said, I would rather see Dak playing the rest of the preseason with the better linemen playing early in the game so he doesn't get hurt. I'm pretty sure he won the backup job with Jerry tonight.

Dak, I'm impressed with how he was able to move the ball and got points. Showers was struggling out there, not to say he is horrible but right now Dak is the better choice for the #2 job

I do think they may let Showers run with ones some, like Dak did.

Kind of hard to play with a u it that will be flipping burgers in a few weeks, while your main completion plays with several pro bowlers.

But Dak DID deliver.

Why can't you be in both lol? Showers looked good under the circumstance. You can tell what's holding him back is playing with better talent. Its going to be interesting to see how Showers plays with the 1st team and how Prescott plays with the backups. How both guys play with the backups might says who wins this job.

Dak for now. Showers has made great strides, but he's still has a way to go compared to Dak. I'm not putting the annointing oil on anybody, but the QB play was a positive tonight. They both looked like competent throwers of the ball.

What I liked about Dak most of all was that he showed that he can make all the throws. He did that going up against the Rams' 1 unit and on a few occasions, he looked down the gun-barrel.

One thing for sure, the state of Mississippi focused on this game greatly. The media here was all hyped up to see their former Bulldog in the NFL.

As good as Dak looked, he will be going up against more sophisticated defenses with a variety of disguises. Regardless, he showed me a lot of poise either in the game or on the sideline. It will take some time with Dak, but he will get better.

Man coverage doesn't make back shoulder throws easy, which he hit twice with beauties.

You guys are hilarious lol. 24 Hours ago Dak couldn't play in this league. Now its Dak can play in this league but Showers is too stiff lol. Both looked good tonight. Dak looked GREAT. But make no mistake that this is a battle. Showers is going to play far better with the 1's even if he looks "stiff" doing it.

Ya...so I said all along that Dak is just fine as our backup and has a future....so there is that.

My point on Showers is when everything isn't perfect he looks a bit stiff and uncoordinated. Just my observation.

There is no battle here either. Dak is the backup and future Dallas qb...Showers is auditioning for #3....
