Are you in The Dak Pak, or do you believe in Shower Power

I thought they both showed some things. Showers wasn't helped out by an awful series by Chaz Green or receivers dropping passes left and right. Dak looked great.

I would also say Dak. The most impressive things to me were his poise and his accuracy. You need smarts/poise/ and accuracy to play QB in this league. So far it looks like he has it all. I'd like to see Showers play with the first team now.

Ya...so I said all along that Dak is just fine as our backup and has a future....so there is that.

My point on Showers is when everything isn't perfect he looks a bit stiff and uncoordinated. Just my observation.

There is no battle here either. Dak is the backup and future Dallas qb...Showers is auditioning for #3....
There is going to be a lot of good tape on Showers, you can't cut him and try to sneak him on the practice squad. He is going to look better than some other backup QBs.

I agree. I think they keep him.

Prescott's initiation into the NFL preseason was obviously a smashing success, although there'll be more tough tests to come. I think it's quite likely that Showers will get the benefit of the 1st team OL next week, with Dak following in the 2nd half with the backups. That way we may get to see how both manage to play under transposed circumstances. Nevertheless, that was an amazing game for Prescott. I think he's a keeper.

Man coverage doesn't make back shoulder throws easy, which he hit twice with beauties.

And don't tell me what to do.

There's nothing much to read against man coverage. That's college ball.

NFL zones are complicated. But he showed all the physical tools and the poise. Great debut.

So what happens next game if Showers looks great with the 1st team and Dak looks terrible with the backups.....?

I still don't think you can judge Dak based on 1 preseason game. You can judge Showers a little more but not much more. Let's just let this thing play out of few more games.

If it's really inconsistent, then I say we pick up a vet backup, roll with Dak at 3rd string and get moving. But right now, I like Prescott at two.

So Romo will once again sit next week?

Too early to tell but...my preference would be to keep Dak, lose Moore and Showers and wait for McCown.

Really doubt Dallas keeps 3 qbs. When they have players they want to keep such as deep rb's, maybe an extra DL, or another TE. If Dak shows enough, he will stay at #2. Doubt any vet that gets cut is that much of an upgrade anyways. Showers goes to ps.
