Are you surprised by how bad Drew is with no-O-Line?

Some of you were expecting it. Some weren't. I'm wondering just how many people are surprised how bad Drew plays with no O-Line.

Meant to make this a Poll. Anyhow, I'm not surprised. There is no excuse to have Drew and no O-Line. Tuna should know better.

No.

The game is won and lost on the Line Of Scrimmage. It always has been. It always will be.

Vinve Lombardi said "the team that blocks and tackles better usually wins." The highest % of both happens at the LOS.

Here's a question for you: Is a QB an elite QB, if it takes elite lineman and elite playmakers around him to make him elite?

Not at all...that is his style.

Given time he can pick you apart...no time...he can hurt you. We know what we have and we must figure out a way to give him time and provide him the best oppotunity to succeed.

That's a trick question.

Good job.

Bledsoe has been playing what, ~13 years? It was no secret his style or what he is to me. Maybe because here in New England I've seen a lot of his past, but I am not surprised.

Nope. We knew what the deal was when we signed him. No protection = no hope.

Troy had the same problem when he had no OL and throwing to undrafted rookie FA WR's.

It's not Bledsoe. It's the OL ... and the WR's not stepping up.

Watch the game again before you absolve Bledsoe of blame. There were open receivers off the snap of the ball, while Bledsoe was assuming the fetal position 3 yards behind the LOS.

There are good-not-great NFL QB's that would've picked that secondary apart yesterday.

Drew did not play elite yesterday, but that only underscores how amazing 43,000 yards really is.

Drew had about as many bad throws (5) as the team had drops. It all adds up to ugly.

Let me see...am I surprized?

I am surprized that suddenly we have NO RUNNING GAME against a 4 MAN RUSH!

I am surprized that Keyshawn and Crayton were non-exhistant yesterday. I am surprized that Witten was not more of a factor.

I am surprized the Cowboys play calling was so predictable I could scream!

Bledsoe? Any other QB would have had a bad game yesterday the way that offense played.

Neil - it's like in baseball - they say if you can throw lefthanded you'll have a job as long as you want it.

Drew has a cannon, accurate arm and he'll probably have a job with someone as long as he can walk at a decent pace.

That's makes it even more unbearable, watching how bad the rest of his game is and seeing him struggle to reach mediocrity and a 70's qb rating.

43,000 yards should be taken with a grain of salt, as 600 appearances by a lefthanded reliever should.

Or Chuck Nevitt at 7'5" having a job in the NBA forever.

How about this????

Drew is not the ideal QB for a subpar offensive line but this OL is far from ideal, the receivers are erratic ( I saw a few drops on Sunday ), Drew is, presently, throwing erratically on shorter throws, there is NO running game ( which magnifies the previous problems ).

Having said that, I feel that the Cowboys are still in a good position, particularly with a favorable matchup this coming week!

I have not given up hope that this can be a real nice season still!

here is a disclaimer" I am only posting on thsi board because Drew is on the team, however, I like to think that I can be somehwat objective.

Okay Neil, I'm going to get off the board tonight.

I just read my posts, and for some reason I'm getting the distinct impression that I'm taking my frustration with Bledsoe's performance out on you, his #1 supporter.

Plus the fact that every post I read tonight, negativity is just oozing out of me ready to pounce.... and that's not my nature... I like being the eternally optimistic fan.

So I should should just watch some TV tonight, and tomorrow I think I'll feel much better.

I must say... as the face of Drew on this board... you're taking it quite well.

Hopefully he'll rebound next week.

Good night.
