He wasn't a good HC in Atlanta. One Super Bowl appearance due to Shanahan's offense with a peak Julio Jones and Matt Ryan. And he blew that Super Bowl historically.

Some guys are better coordinators than HCs
Been saying this for a bit. Way better DC…which is why I think he should leave because Jerry will make him HC here and that won’t end well! If I were him I go take one of these and get out of this circus. If he declared he’d love to be a DC for life, cool but I don’t want to go MM to him

Colts have no QB.
i assume since they are in top 5 overall in the NFL Draft, a prized rookie QB would be their target (Stroud, Young ?)

Or they could get into the Derek Carr sweepstakes bidding war ? (along with Washington, Jets, Miami, New Orleans)

Blow the team up and let Jerry and Stephen Jones pick the players and coaches to rebuild... and end up in the exact same place we've been for the past 30 years which is 2nd round playoffs max.
I would rather watch a couple no names suck it up than watch these 2 clowns. I never wanted a player off the Cowboy’s roster more than Dak!

You either hire Quinn as the HC or risk losing him...

Quinn can run circles around McCarthy.
Nah...you can make Quinn the highest-paid coach in the league on the highest-profile team in the league.

If he is happy in Dallas...i wouldn't leave. The grass isn't always greener...made that mistake before.

It appears he's the top candidate after Payton.........which tells me he apparently has a strong OC in his pocket. I'm that's critical for both teams with $200M QBs.

I'm betting Brady tries to go Niners ....rather than Miami or Colts. ...
at this point the niners roll with purdy and trade jimmy g or lance to get more picks. looks like they will get a pick for demeco ryans too when he gets his hc job.

If it was this easy, I doubt he would even bother interviewing. Pretty sure Jerry has no problem with this IF it's all it took to keep him. He's interviewed with 3 teams and is now taking 2nd interviews with two. Just me, but I think he likely gets an offer from whichever team Payton turns down.

You have to have an offer in hand for Jerry to break the bank. Why would he just throw money at him again without it?

I have posted this before. If DQ is offered the job with certain guarantees he would be a fool not to take it. Might also be his last opportunity to be a HC in the NFL. Arizona has a lot of talent... it's not like the cupboard is bare and Glendale is not a bad place to live. In regards to his leaving, he will leave behind a template for the next DC. Pretty simple... just follow the template and don't fix what ain't broken. Just make sure that LVE is your middle linebacker next season.

Agree. Just like Wade Phillips.

If we lose Quinn and don’t bring in a Fangio or Rex Ryan type this team is going to go downhill fast folks…….

Has Quinn interviewed with the Texans ?

Payton has reportedly interviewed with the Texans who many don't consider a stable functional organization.
and Houston are one that i would be very surprised if Quinn goes for that HC role.

They have no skill position superstars to build around, ditto no stars defensively.
and Quinn would have totally rebuilding from scratch., outside pro bowler Laremy Alexander Tunsil

It all depends on the deal they make regarding the QB in place in AZ and DEN. Quinn has already been to the fair once, he will be a little more protective on this go round but he will need a very strong OC.

If the deal is good, I'd take the Colts because they do not have a 40M underachieving QB.

Colts have no QB.
True but they're actually in a position where they can get one, they're not locked into one like Arizona

They have the fourth overall pick and with cutting Matt Ryan Plus a couple obvious restructures they're going to have about 50-55 million in cap space so they could even get another one in free agency to pair with the one they draft

If the rest of team is good, you only need a 7th round rookie.
Yeah they have a lot of talent on defense, a solid offensive line and a solid run game.

They have the fourth overall pick and will probably have at least close to 50 million in cap so they can get quarterback help if they really want it.

The rest of the roster looks okay (it's rare to see a bottom five record team have that much talent).
