Arizona or New Orleans - who do we match up with better?

As we all know by now, Arizona will be playing New Orleans on Saturday, a day prior to our game vs the Vikings. This will provide us with an opportunity to sit down and root for our next potential opponent. My question to you guys is, is homefield advantage in the championship game more important than how we match up vs an opponent? Or do most of you guys believe we match up better with the Cardinals anwyays? In all honesty, I am not certain who Dallas matches up better against, so I am leaning towards getting the home game vs the Cardinals.

However, after seeing Dallas annihilate the Saints already, I would not be too worried if a rematch were to play out. I know one thing, I would much rather have the better match up, whether it be at home or not. If the better match up for Dallas is the Saints, then so be it. What are do you think?

If we continue to play to the level we are then it does not matter which one. I would love nothing more than to take care of business this week in Minn then face the Cards at Cowboys stadium.

Given the choice, I'd rather play the Cardinals at home. Both teams are good, but I also think we can beat either of them, and they can beat us. I don't think we match up better against either. They're both dangerous offenses with a lot of weapons.

If we go to Minnesota and come away with a win which I think we will, we're going to be blazing hot playing whichever.

Both teams are pretty similar: excellent offenses and some holes on defense, especially in the secondary. Both teams have QB's that when they are hot, are almost unstoppable. You need to get them out of their rhythm to contain their scoring. Then you exploit their defensive weaknesses.

I'd prefer playing at home than on the road. But we've won in NO before and we can do it again.

But we are getting ahead of ourselves. My focus is Minnesota.

I'd rather play Arizona, but ONLY because we'd get to do so in Dallas.

I'm just focusing in on crushing Brett and the Vikes to the ground. :)

I also would like our chances at home against Arizona. Especially because I think we could get to Warner and after you sack him a few times, he folds like a cheap tent. But, let's beat Minnesota first!

I understand we need to beat Minn first..but this game is going to be on first...I need to know who I should root for lol..In all seriousness, I don't think the Cardinals have a shot on Saturday...While my initial prediction was Cardinals @ Cowboys prior to the playoffs starting, I am starting to think it will be Cowboys @ Saints.

The Cardinals and Saints are almost the same team when you think about it. Can't consistently run the football, don't play defense, great passing game.

I could care less who it is.

I think we match up pretty well with The cardinals....
Last year when we played them, we played horrendously but stil ltook it to OT...

Arizona IMO has better athletes on defense so I think they have a better shot at stopping NO than NO does stopping Arizona's offense.

Obviously you prefer to play at home. But in terms of the opponent itself, especially in a one game scenario, I'd rather play NO.

I would like to see a little payback for last year's derailment of our season (knocking out our QB and Punter), so Arizona would be my choice.

The winner very well could be the team who has the ball last.

you have to figure, whomever wins their matchup will be the better and/or atleeast hottest team anyway... so I think we'll get the better of the two since they're so similar anyway. I actually think Breese and co. are more mistake prone than Warner but at the same time I'd love to play at home so it's a toss up. Give me AZ.. but let's take care of business first.

The Saints are overrated. When you really break the down on a position by position basis the Cowboys are equal or better then them across the board except for Sharper. I think they can handle them again with out much of a problem.

The probelm lies with Arizona simply because of Fitzgerald. A nightmare for any team no mater how good they stack up with Arizona. So I'd rather not have to deal with him if given the choice between the two.

I don't know Cards have had their ups and downs all season long. They can look like world beaters one moment and look horrible the next. Warner is great if you can protect him but in games where teams have put the hits on Warner the Cards have looked bad. Fitz clearly is a very good WR then again the Saints have some very good ones of their own.

Fitz went crazy on us last year..I remember him towering over Henry like it was yesterday

Ask Hos, he's from Arizona. I don't know much about that team at all to be truthful.

I don't know anybody can say this based on the Cardinals success in the playoffs last year and this year so far. Also how the Saints played the last 3 games of the season and they way they lost to Tampa Bay especially. The Saints defense is not that good so saying the Cards have no chance is silly.
