Arkin watch

I think the fans who are try be positive about yesterday's oline performance either have really lowered their standards or don't watch other nfl teams play. watch this broncos/niners preseason game and tell me our oline was decent after watching the broncos oline drive their men 3-4 yds down field on sweeps. my biggest issue with the oline is the crappy run blocking.

Again with lowering the bar? You think complaing is going to change anything? :laugh2: We have some young guys they are improving. They make mistakes at times. Supporting and looking for them to continue to work and get better is a bad thing? None of us know how these guys will develop some of us choose not to write them off so quickly.

You're still on this young guys working hard to get better thing, eh? Have fun with that.

Winicki and others claimed the Gs played well. They didn't play well. They were just the chubby chicks surrounded by fatties last night. Hence my lowering the bar comment. Have the same level of play anywhere else on the field and nobody would be claiming they played well.

Even Tyron didn't play well. But he's the one guy I don't worry about.

Do you believe the offensive line is going to be worse than last year?

Yes because they are. You still think daily crying is going to change anything? That is all you do, the season is over we have no chance that is all you got. You are a joke

Maybe that's the problem. I don't try to be positive. I try to be right. You can consider my posts the no spin zone. I'll tell you exactly what I think regardless of how negative that view is to the Cowboys' status quo.

Nobody's crying. I'm discussing a clear weakness on this team. One that will not allow us to compete this year unless it radically improves.

The other problem with supposedly trading a 2nd for a "Pro-bowl" caliber center is...

Who's this supposed center?

And why would team "X" trade them?

Opps....I should have read this post before I posted mine.

It is not about being positive it is about being patient but then you being the expert know all about player development and who is capable and who is not? Man you are full of yourself

No idea. It was truly awful last year. It's got the potential to be in that same neighborhood this year.

Weak answer considering how steadfast you are in thinking they'll be awful.

So, offensive line is an issue?

I never knew, because no one ever discusses it.

It's about discussing the pros and cons of the team. Let's be real here. It is you, not me, that is whining. You can't handle the negative opinion. If I came in here and said that James Hanna is going to be a good player, I wouldn't get a single word back from you about patience. But when I tell you Phil Costa isn't, I'm suddenly an impatient whiner that's full of himself.

No. I'm just an adult fan discussing what I believe to be the reality of the current state of the team.

It was a weak question. Awful is awful. Will they improve off of awful last year really is besides the point. The better questions would be will they be good? Will they allow the team to compete?

I would say no to both those questions.

We'd have a much better chance with that and legit line play. We have no chance to contend this way.

One day you'll realize where these games are really won or lost.

Right...! I would love to see our pro bowl oline defend a pass happy offense!

I would love to watch our offense as it was last year put up 30 something on the Giants...then have our pro bowl offense this year defense the giants from coming back to win the game!

How embarrassing you make yourself look....

This ain't Callahan's nor Garrett's first rodeo. Hopefully, Garrett and Callahan have a good feel for what they have on the OL. They should know how to play to their strengths and minimize their weaknesses on the OL.

a) You don't make a living blitzing Romo. and b) If teams are going to blitz up the gut perceiving a weakness there, Garrett and Callahan should have something to counter that. Callahan should have some traps or something to help counter if a certain player is just going to tee off and shoot a gap on a consistent basis.

Quinn was just teeing off and trying to get the sack all night. He wasn't playing the run at all.

Unless there is vast improvement from the line play, yes. Either those guys emerge or we have zero chance to contend. Those secondary players are completely irrelevant.

Tell that to Deion Sanders, smart man! He helped the Cowboy get over the hump back then...

You must burst out in laughter whenever you type in something like that.

Ultimate Cowboy troll if I've ever seen one! :laugh2:

He never takes into account the WHOLE teams needs....just his little tunnel vision of the oline...which by the way has not been set in stone yet.

This offensive line gave up 39 sacks and had only 5 rushing TD's.

Let me get this straight, you believe that this offensive line will equal that lack of production?

Is that correct?

i guess i can filp that question back to you,do you think supporting them from your computer changes anything? i can be critical and honest without being negative. i have no issue with finding the silver lining in a bad situation but it gets ridiculous when people overreact to that and make outlandish claims ex: overeaction to arkin's average play last week.

I didn't say anything about acquiring a top C right now. That should have been done back when we were cornering the market on CBs like the Dukes with frozen orange juice.

They'll have similar endings too.

Trading Places reference, nice Mortimer:bow:
