Arkin watch

Unless there is vast improvement from the line play, yes. Either those guys emerge or we have zero chance to contend. Those secondary players are completely irrelevant.
That's a nice loophole. ;) :)

"Those secondary players are irrelevant"

All we had to do last year was sign Joseph at CB and cut Newman and we most likely would have made the playoffs.

He won't respond to that...he trolls for the oline, then when he is shown that they are not the only thing on a football team...he tucks his tail and runs somewhere else to complain about the oline.

He's an adult fan trying to teach us about what is wrong with the Cowboys.

;)

I like how RS's argument doesn't committ to anything he's disagreed with.

Here's my take on the current offensive line and how it compares to last year...

Last season there were 39 sacks given up and only 5 rushing TD's scored.

I'm not expecting a gigantic leap of improvement. I would think that they'll probably give up 35 sacks and double the amount of rushing TD's... 10.

It won't be a huge improvement but it will be better.

However the defense will be much better (injuries potentially affecting things of course).

Last year this team was 8-8 with a poor defense and offensive line.

That's a cowards way out of things, bro!

If I was so sincere on a subject I would stick around and defend myself.

At least theogt provided his stance with evidence about Arkin...I can respect that. But, for someone to make stupid references about something then tuck tail and run...that tells me something about the persons character.

;)

I don't like to speculate...but, I think all the sack numbers are going to be down by a few more, and a few more rushing TD's.

I only say that because of what I've seen in preseason so far.

What I will say is...I think time of possession in games is going to favor the Cowboys because of the defense, and hopefully time of possession provides more opportunities for the offense to score.

But...I don't think the offense will score more than 17 points in any game! They just don't have the oline for it!!!!!!

I know, bro....;) I was just dogging our resident adult Cowboy fan (i won't tell you his name, but his initials are Risen Star) that says we won't compete this year because we don't have pro bowlers on the oline and that the secondary players don't mean crap.

It's going to score a lot of points... even with a below average offensive line.

I just want Romo protected better this year; he got pounded too much last year.

I do not care how tough a QB is; sooner or later you get pounded enough you will get skittish.

David Carr started out decently and had promise to be a good QB. But 250 sacks in 4 years destroyed him mentally. I would find it hard to think any QB could take that kind of punishment over a period of years and not have it affect his play

David Carr could not hold Romo's jock, bro!

Romo is a freaking magician...he has a feel for the game.

you get hit enough it will matter

Houdini or not

you could see that early last season; Romo was getting really tired of things.

Stop living in the past, bro....let's see what happens this coming season.

I don't think the offense will score less than 17 points in any game. Last year we scored over 23 points a game with a worse offensive line.

Did I just read that? That's what I was saying.

Last year, was last year. This a different year from last year so why others want to think just because a dog humped you leg last year, that it might happen this year?

(stupid cowboy mods)
