Arrogance or Ignorance?

The Weeden experiment has been an unmitigated disaster. Thinking that this guy could carry an NFL offense was a huge gaff. He had already shown he was hot garbage at his last stop. They had to have seen what they had in him, during practices, film review, and preseason games. The Matt Cassel kneejerk was about on the same level.

Now, with the RB situation playing out like it has, you have to start asking some questions about how the organization is being run. Murray was a huge part of what made this offense go, and it seems like they grossly misjudged Randle's ability and mental makeup, even though they had seen plenty of his mental lapses on and off the field.

So now, we have to ask, is it just pure arrogance or ignorance that caused the demise of this season?

Try injuries to Tony AND Dez, as well as a few others.

No team is perfect. The FO of late has had far more successes than failures.

If they had a competent backup that was at least able to score a couple of touchdowns, we would still be very much in this race, due to the poor division. 0-5 is unacceptable. Campo did better with worse talent.

Alot of teams misjudge because practice and preseason is totally different than live games. Ie the Falcons had no idea that devonta freeman was that good. He was 3rd on the depth chart and they actually drafted a RB to be the lead back.

Campo was 5-11 for 3 straight seasons, and correct me if I am wrong, this season is not over yet. Get back to me in 3 years, and see where we are at.

Tell me what quarterback they should have grabbed to take on Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Eli Manning, and Russell Wilson.

And explain why Demarco Murray has fewer yards than Randle, McFadden, and Ryan Matthews this season.

Jason Garrett has been in "charge" of this offense for like 8 years right? HE should be able to evaluate who can and cannot contribute to this offense. At this point it is NOT about whether or not Weeden is good as Romo. We know he is not. It is not about whether Weeden is a backup QB. We know he is not. Against the Pats, we would not have even gotten a first down in the first half if it were not for a penalty. So that is awful, awful, awful coaching and evaluation. We have been AWFUL drafting QBs. We have been AWFUL picking backups. Which all adds up to the fact this organization does not have the braintrust in place to accurately evaluate the position. It would be one thing if there was a miss here or there. That happens to everyone. But Brad Johnson was our backup at one point! This organization said Brandon Weeden was the most improved player from last years team. Every chance Jerry got last year....he was talking up Randle. He went out of his way when Murray had a good game, to suggest Randle could have done the same thing. Is is THEIR job as coach and GM to get this stuff right. It is normal to be wrong from time to time...but to be this wrong this often....not good!

So, who?

Everybody hates who we have, but nobody can name the guy we should have. Hint, they don't exist.

We have had 2 games where we haven't scored a TD. Ryan Fitzpatrick has won games in this league. He was available.

Its one embarrassing performances after another, just another typical Dallas Cowboys season....in hindsight.....last year was just an anomaly....

Last 15yrs (2000 to 2015) the Dallas Cowboys ONLY won 10 games or more 4 times......then reverted back to average struggling to get to 8-8
You can drink the Kool Aid or you can live in reality.....what you see is what you get with the Dallas Cowboys
