If this guy doesn't have a great year this season (read: learn how to pass!) Petrino is going to want this guy out of here. I know the falcons are much like the Eagles because the both have explosive and entertaining athletes at quarterback and their teams are frankly BORING to watch without them, but the teams may be starting to realize they are actually doing better/could to better with a west-coast qb like Brady. I wonder if the Falcons' owner would ever allow Vick to be traded or leave.

McNabb's passing game is nothing like Vicks. McNabb has become a pretty good passer while Vick has regressed.

He is a coach killer ala Pappa Mora

He cant QB a team consistently

He should salvage his career and change position

He isnt much smarter than PacMan Jones

He's certainly not that kind of person that I would want as the face of my franchise.

I'm sure ownership's patience with these antics is running real thin.

I am really not hot on having a player be the "face of the franchise" when they havent accomplished anything.

Jordan, Jeter, Kobe etc are exceptions because of previous accomplishments...

You basically handicap an entire organization when you annoint a player like McNabb or Vick as "the franchise"... now if they dont win it all... it was for nothing and org loses in more ways than one

The idea that he did not know that there were 70 pitbulls at his home in Virginia is quite laughable.

I see no way in the world that he would not be aware of that.

Many people in his "tax bracket" have a multitude assets, including Real Estate. I am not saying Mr. Vick is innocent by any means, but I could see a situation where he buys a house for a relative or close friend and at some point lose track of what happens in that particular property on a day to day basis.

From what I understand, I thought the property in question was in Atlanta. If the property in question is indeed in Virginia, what I stated earlier becomes much more of a possibility, considering the fact that he plays in Atlanta, which means he probably lives in that area and the property in question is in Virginia.

This makes no sense and it is completely unrealistic.

I don't think anyone on this forum would have a big problem with a huge media blitz by the Cowboys, making Tony Romo the face of the franchise and he definately hasn't accomplished anything.

For a couple of years, Roy Williams has been the face of the franchise, and if McNabb and Vick haven't accomplished anything, then Roy Williams hasn't either.

Before this year, Peyton Manning hadn't won a title, if he would have gone his entire career without winning a title, do you really think Indy loses "in more ways then one"?

watch out Romo, keep up w/ your ways of judgeing pageants and going out on dates, you'll wind up like Vick, Jamal Lewis, Ray Lewis and Rae Carruth

I would have an easier time buying Vick's excuses if we wasn't known to run around with pit bulls by his side 24/7.

I just don't understand the whole thing. You have millions of dollars, all the fame you could ever want, women, cars, houses, ANYTHING........

What do you do in your spare time? You fight dogs.

Here's your sign, Mike Vick.

I am not the only one who has this opinion. I have heard others say the same thing. The Falcons and Eagles have been handicapped by this. The Eagles are now planning a way out. Next year or sooner the Falcons will too. Making one person the face of an org goes against the whole TEAM concept doesnt it?
