Article: Amazing Disgrace (Quincy Carter)

I have no issues with Q having made mistakes. None, zero, zip, nada. My tolerance for him has run out when in the same article he says he has no one to blame on one hand and then says "what the Cowboys did to me." He betrayed the Cowboys, Jerry Jones, and the Cowboys fans, and the Cowboys didn't do anything to him, yet he still blames them. As far as I am concerned, there's no more need for me to feel sorry for him. None, zero, zip, nada. I won't waste my time and believe me, for 2 and a half years I have felt sympathy for the man and hoped he gets his life together. He doesn't get it and I doubt he will ever get it. If he does, I'll eat my words.

Hokay. You have made your stance crystal clear and I don't believe my stance is to staunchly defense Q based upon the response that you just responded to. Q has screwed up big time in his life. You don't care if he every gets himself together. I do. Is there anything else about this to go back and forth on?

Wow. No sense of humor? I was just playing around with photoshop. If my picture of Terrell laying on the ground getting spanked offended anyone I sincerely apologize.
I have a sense of humor, but some things aren't funny. That wasn't. It didn't offend me, it is just something I don't think we needed to have here. Those Cops were clearly out of control and quite probably racist. To accuse TO's detractors of being anything like that is just not needed. It simply wasn't funny.

Hos, I must say, I've never read so many posts regarding a worse quarterback than this guy.

Do you remember the pain we endured during the Carter era? I recall plenty of conversations you and I had on this subject at the time. It was hell, but at least you were there for me. And I for you. :p

LOL

Yeah I do remember those days. I wish I could say fondly.

Quincy needs to stop blaming other people and only blame himself. He will never make the NFL again and I doubt he'll even make the AFL. And I think Hostile's post says it best. I would play for the Cowboys for free and breaking both legs in that game just to be called a Cowboy, he got paid $5 million to play football. He could have easily put that in a bank and have been set for life, but now he can't even bail himself out with $500, its sad and only his fault.

I didn't like how the author completly badmouthed AF2. Most of those guys in that league are only playing because they love any form of football and all of them have to have another job. And I might just go root against Quincy when he plays the Amarillo Dusters. I never liked him when he played before he started smoking, and I just think that he is a coward.

Chalk up another bad move for me on the ol board. It wasn't the first and it won't be the last. I'm far from perfect and I have no problem admitting it. ;)

I don't expect anyone to be. So don't sweat it. I am serious that I would like to see you stop the witch hunt for TO detractors. That's your call though.

I seriously hunt no one. I respond when I think an injustice is being done. For a period of time Terrell was taking it like there was no tomorrow on this board. Perhaps I go a little overboard with the defense of said Cowboy. I've already stated that.

Okay, we can all agree that Carter isn't the only person in denial.

"A little overboard".

Yes, you did, and my response is the same.

Holy understatements Batman. You can take the word "perhaps" out of it. There is no doubt at all. You can turn the simplest complaint about him into a war.

I wish him the best but I do not feel sorry for him, as any person you are responsible for your own actions and in the NFL you get chances a long the way to get your life together he had a chance in Dallas and blew it he then had another chance in NY and blew it. As for the NFL I doubt he will ever set foot on the field again but hopefully and more importantly he will get his life together.

Better?

I go overboard in my defense of Terrell. Happy? If I didn't defend him you all would have no one to beat up since Terrell doesn't spend any time on this board. I'm giving you a conduit. You should be thanking me for being your whipping boy. :D

Hey... about that QC...

No, someone doesn't. It is one thing to defend a player. It is entirely another to invent ways to do it. I am not saying this to insult you, so if you are I apologize. If I could use the ignore function you're the first person I would put on ignore. That way I don't ever want to see another sig pic of TO as Rodney King, etc. You may find that BS funny. I don't. There was no reason for it.

It is rather amazing to see how far some people will go for a single player. Reminds me of the old Quincy/Hutch and more recently, the Bill Parcells folk.

So it was a poor attempt at humor... I laughed at it when I made it. Then again, I wasn't thinking that deeply when I made it either. Nevertheless, I will agree with everyone that it wasn't funny after the fact.

Wow,

Even as an AFL2 starting QB, Carter is still able to hit the 1000 view mark.

Quincy Carter sets to throw

BattleWings ShutOut Copperheads 52-0

04/14/2007 9:24 PM

(Bossier City, LA) - Record-setting defensive dominance led the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings to a 52-0 whitewashing of the Texas Copperheads. Battle Wings defensive end Elex Reed laid siege to Copperheads quarterback Tony Eckert. Reed was credited with 5.5 sacks, an af2 record as he led his unit to only the second shutout in af2 history.

Wings’ quarterback Quincy Carter, the former Dallas Cowboys star, spread the ball around, throwing touchdown passes to four different receivers on his way to a 18-30 night. Carter amassed 222 passing yards, throwing two scoring tosses to P.J. Winston and one each to Jamaal Perry, Anthony Chambers and Marc Bacote.

The Copperheads rarely threatened to score, and the Battle Wings defense consistently rose to any challenge. The Copperheads were still competitive in the second quarter, trailing 21-0 and in position to score, when Wings’ defensive back Phillip Geiggar intercepted an Eckert pass in the end zone and returned it 51 yards for a touchdown. The Battle Wings led at halftime, 31-0 following a 22-yard field goal from Brian Hazelwood.

Battle Wings fullback Jason Schule added to his league-leading rushing total by carrying the ball four times for 24 yards and a third-quarter touchdown..

For the second week in a row, Carter earned Schutt offensive Player of the game honors. Reed’s record-setting evening earned him the distinction of ADT defensive player of the game for the second week in a row. Kendrick “Boss” Walker, who bottled up Copperheads receivers and was effective on kick returns, was named the U.S. Army Ironman of the game.

The Battle Wings, at 2-0 for the first time in franchise history, will play on the road for the first time in 2007 next week when they travel to Hidalgo, Texas to take on division rival Rio Grande Valley.

I love it when people can't read. At least 5 pages of the thread were hijacked to TO. All hail he who fails.

Cool.

To be honest, I never saw the picture as I haven't had time to post much and the first I heard of it was when Hostile mentioned it. If you made the picture just to be funny and not to introduce race, then personally, I dont think you should apologize, I know I wouldn't. I would have just took it down if people were offended, and went on about my business.

I just went on the assumption that it was to introduce race, if it wasn't then you have my apology for jumping to conclusions.

Yikes, 10 pages:)

3 quick points.

1. Dallas should not have been able to cut him as a drug addict--its clearly against NFL bylaws. Not sure its a good rule but we were stuck with other drugged out losers and should have been stuck with this one season.

2. This guy is so out of chances that anyone believing anything he says is absurd.

3. I'd bet dollars to donuts this guy is using more than pot.

Him and Clint Steorner are still battling it out:)

Didn't Hutch quit altogether and go into coaching?

Any wonder I loved BP/Ireland running drafts:) lol.

But But But...He and Jerry shared the same Zodiac Sign.

I remember wanting to smack Jerry when he mentioned that He and QC shared a birthdate or were close to sharing a birthday as another BONUS to him drafting him. :
