Goodluck QC.

The guy is making $75k/year riding the bench. For all his faults, he's still making twice as much as the average American.
Funny, I was going to post something similar in my original post. Something to the effect of making 75 large chilling on the sidelines. :p:

~mod hat on~

Some of u have gotten a lil too personal and offensive in your posts. Dial it down a notch please.

So it is somehow Coach Parcells' fault? You know, the lengths people will go to make excuses for him is insane. Derek Ross and Quincy Carter would have this team in the toilet. But per you, Jones knows how to deal with it?

:laugh2:

"Them players was good"?

:laugh2:

I never said I was better. But I believe I am smarter because I haven't wasted my career and had to go to the last stop for football misfits in Canada because I blew every chance and golden opportunity in the NFL.

What????

The way you post, I believe you would unquestionably fail one.

When Parcells became the Dallas Cowboys head coach in 2003 his intentions was just to bring his players in and win a superbowl, not win a superbowl with the Dallas Cowboys players.

Why do you think Larry Allen, Mario Edwards, Derek Ross, Quincy Carter, Woody Dantzler, Reggie Swinton, Antonio Bryant, Dexter Coakley, Dale'Roy Stewart, and more players are gone?

Because they was original Cowboys...It some players on this list I wanted to go like Dexter Coakley because he didn't fit into the 3-4. You have to think to yourself isn't this the team that help us to a 10-6 record?

We jelled in together as a team. When you play football you get use to other people as leaders on the team or as a relationship in the locker room, that's something you just don't separate. A team suppose to be a family, when a family member mess up you suppose to be there to help them.

When Parcells traded Antonio Bryant off to Cleveland for a injury prone wide receiver in Quincy Morgan, I was pissed...
When Parcells cut Derek Ross, a conerback who was suppose to start that year and lead us in interceptions the previous year, I was pissed...
When Parcells simply traded our leading kickoff returner and potentially good catching wide receiver Reggie Swinton off to Green Bay, I was pissed..
When Parcells cut Woody Dantzler a special teams guy who knows how to return kickoffs, I was pissed..

But when you cut a Quarterback that takes you to the playoffs for a 41 year old Quarterback, if everybody thinks this move was alright yall must be smoking something infinite worst than Quincy smoking....

If it was me I would've just gave Carter a four game suspension...I know Jerry Jones would have did the same thing, why?, because Jerry Jones dealt with it that long knowing he had a drug problem..

RCF you just said it right there. You cant risk having your starting QB getting future or present suspensions, due to a drug addiction. This alone can get you cut.

What are you expecting to gain with all this QC love? What exactely do you want? What exactely are you expecting to accomplish with all this support for a player that is NOT IN THE NFL, a player THAT HAS/HAD A DRUG PROBLEM when he was with the Cowboys, a player NOONE CARES ABOUT ANYMORE, a player that RUINED HIS OWN LIFE.

Just what do you want? HE IS GONE, FINISHED! HE IS NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN TO THE COWBOYS! Do you understand that?

So, again, what are you expecting to accomplish with all your stupid posts about Quincy Carter?

Get a life, bro...!

Why so much hatred for QC? Sure, it didn't work out the way we all would have liked, but is that a reason to dislike the guy on a personal level? One thing you have to admit about QC is he gave us his all on the field, and in preperation. His work ethic was phenomenal.

you notice your post went ignored.. why? because people want to think the worst about Carter.
Everybody wants the perception of a Troy Aikman not Carter, Vick, McNabb, or Culpepper... Quarterbacks like this only gets one chance regardless of skills.. it's just perception...

Yet not one of these guys have done anything since they left. So while you may have been pissed the bottom line is none of these guys were that good to start with. Only Bryant even seem to have the skill level to make it in the NFL but his poor additude and his constant pouting and poor rout running cost him his place in Dallas.

Coach Parcells gave Quincy Carter a chance at the urging of Jerry Jones. And if you listened to the press conference after he was cut, you would know that Parcells had an emotional investment in Carter and wasn't exactly jumping for joy.

And as another point, I am glad he wanted to win with "his" players, because the Dallas Cowboys on our roster were a sad, pathetic lot and perhaps as bad as we have seen since we were an expansion team.

Drop the Parcells angle because it is laughable.

Why do you think Larry Allen, Mario Edwards, Derek Ross, Quincy Carter, Woody Dantzler, Reggie Swinton, Antonio Bryant, Dexter Coakley, Dale'Roy Stewart, and more players are gone?

Why are most either out of the NFL or on another team on their last legs. Coakley and Allen were washed up. Bryant talked his way out of town and the others you mentioned aren't even in the league. That suggests the idea that yes, maybe they really were not that good.

Because they was original Cowboys...It some players on this list I wanted to go like Dexter Coakley because he didn't fit into the 3-4. You have to think to yourself isn't this the team that help us to a 10-6 record?

LOL!

He had a checklist of all the Cowboys and was crossing them off?

We jelled in together as a team. When you play football you get use to other people as leaders on the team or as a relationship in the locker room, that's something you just don't separate. A team suppose to be a family, when a family member mess up you suppose to be there to help them.

Yes. And if they ignore your help, then you ship them off to rehab. You don't know what we did or didn't do to help him. But rest assured we have one of the most dedicated player support systems in the NFL with Calvin Hill aboard and I am positive we did what we could or he would accept. Where is Quincy's accountability? Or do you believe he has any at all?

When Parcells traded Antonio Bryant off to Cleveland for a injury prone wide receiver in Quincy Morgan, I was pissed...

So how did Antonio work out in Cleveland? Got a raw deal, I suppose?

When Parcells cut Derek Ross, a conerback who was suppose to start that year and lead us in interceptions the previous year, I was pissed...

Talented mental case of a bad team.

When Parcells simply traded our leading kickoff returner and potentially good catching wide receiver Reggie Swinton off to Green Bay, I was pissed..
When Parcells cut Woody Dantzler a special teams guy who knows how to return kickoffs, I was pissed..

So you are just pissed with Coach Parcells? LOL!

But when you cut a Quarterback that takes you to the playoffs for a 41 year old Quarterback, if everybody thinks this move was alright yall must be smoking something infinite worst than Quincy smoking....

They didn't cut him in favor of Testeverde. They cut him because he had no future. And judging by where he is now, they were right.

If it was me I would've just gave Carter a four game suspension...I know Jerry Jones would have did the same thing, why?, because Jerry Jones dealt with it that long knowing he had a drug problem..

There is more to it than just the suspension. There are other indications that Carter wasn't coachable and had mental problems. Sometimes it is best to cut your losses. Even if he stayed, chances are he would be exactly where he is now and I am glad it didn't come at the expense of the team, just himself.

You are one of the most clearest fans to debate with on here...

Come on now, why cut a Quarterback because he get suspended. That's what back-ups are for.

Lets get it out there isn't that the real reason why the Cowboys cut Quincy Carter and the organization saying it isn't?

Why does he get so much love and adoration? He was a slightly below average QB on his best day.

I don't see many "Oh, good luck, Clint Stoerner threads."

Why would you wish good luck on a former player that let the team down because he couldn't get his personal addictions under control?

Would you want someone with that lack of mental fortitude as your QB? Obviously not, because once you get past the media fluff, you find the real QC story. A guy who was terribly insecure and immature. A guy, who from many accounts, was a real jerk to members of the media that criticized him and who threw his teammates under the bus.

I used to have to qualify anything I said on the guy because if you knocked him, you'd immediately get subtle jabs accusing racism and comments about how hard he worked and how he was a good guy in the community.

Light has finally been shed on the guy and people still have their heads stuck in the sand. He was an awful QB and a terrible teammate and Dallas is much better off with him gone.

Woody, you know I have mad love for you. Nothing but respect but this provided a picture in my minds eye that just made me bust up.

I can only picture a Zoot Suite type hate. Maybe purple with leopard spot head band and some huge red feather protruding out the back with gold embroidered letters on it spelling MOD.

LOL...... I wished I had a picture of it I could post. :lmao2:

Any way, it just struck me funny. Sorry bout that.

Yes...and he finally got rid of that pesky Dat Nguyen. Did you notice how Nguyen was out for BOTH Giants games?

Coincidence?

I think not.

Flozell Adams - you're on notice.

To keep the spot warm for the glorious return of the drug addict? Hey, that's what backups are for, right?

Low ceiling and drug problems equals getting cut. Once you come to grips with exactly how much potential he had and factor in the drugs, the risk outweighs any potential reward. This wasn't Michael Irvin talent. It wasn't Ricky Williams talent. It was what he had become.

Yes, but Q and Jerry have the SAME BIRTHDAY. That's all that matters!

Ya know, I actually think that meant something to Jerry. Maybe he saw it as an omen or something.

There was also the paper that Carter wrote in school where his goals were to play baseball for the Cubs and football for the Cowboys. I think Jerry believes in destiny.

That's it play the race card, Last time I looked Vick,McNabb and Culpepper have starting jobs because they actually have certain skills that keeps them in the NFL and none have ran into issues with drugs. I'm sorry I did not hear all the whinning crying when Puller or Hogeboom were cut from the Cowboys. Carter was not that good to start with and was and is a mental weakling not a leader that can be counted on.
