Good Post! The really sad thing is he's better than Joey Harrington, David Carr, Michael Vick,Rex Grossman and Patrick Ramsey, all who were first rounders, yet people complain that we drafted him too high. Carter could start for at least a dozen teams in the NFL, including the Cowboys and Jets.

he's a better Quarterback than them.. not a better runner than Vick...and he could start for some teams but I don't know about now.. I have to see him play in CFL...

Remember Randal Cunningham took some time off and came back lighting up the NFL and got a MVP award...so who knows?

If what you said is true, then why is he NOT STARTING for those teams? Splain that to me, because I'm sure that everyone know the answer!

True but I will say you don't see many QB's with drug issues staying around long. That position holds too much responsibilty and too much of a leadership role for teams to take chances with.

Completely true. Oh *****, I just agreed with you.

News flash he is not even going to be the starter in the CFL and not assured he will even get the backup job as there are 5 others competing for the job. Yet he could start in the NFL? What a joke!!!

Quincy are better than them as a Quarterback... whether you want to believe or not... which you in your case is not so it results in this for your opinion>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I think I can play QB in the NFL, because, let's face it, I can throw one hell of a bomb when there's noone breathing down my neck. Nuff said.

Back in the day, I used to be able to throw a pigskin a quarter mile.

How much you wanna make a bet I could throw this football over them mountains?

:D I was going to say that I could start at QB for the Cowboys no question...I was after all the MVP At QB of the Longfellow Mustangs...My Elementary School Team.

And if anyone thinks I can't...You're Wrong! Nuff Said.

No doubt. I bet you though if Brady, Manning, Vick, or someone of that nature failed a drug test due to just smoking pot you can bet your bottom dollar that if they were to be released some other team would take a chance on them no matter what.

The fact is QC is a so so talent and therefore because of the drugs no team is really interested in taking a chance on him.

It all about the talent and risk to reward ratio.

Chances are with those QB you could be right however losing a starting QB to an injury is one issue losing them for 4, 8 or a season due to drugs is a different set of problems and while talent no doubt means a lot dependablity means a lot as well because that QB does you no good if he is suspended.

I don't know what act is worse. The "Answer" or this.

You appear intelligent, yet you agree with drivel. Peculiar.

A back-up in the CFL? Yeah, thats about his right skill level.

I am embarrassed that there are people who are fans of my favorite team who still think that guy should or could be playing for us or that he is worth any support.

You should be embarrassed to voice that opinion. In 2004, when Carter played for the Jets, he had 98 qb rating and Penny had a 93. Combined, they had the highest qb rating in the NFL. Without Carter and Penny in 2005, the Jets were horrible. How could a Cowboy fan prefer to lose with Bledsoe, instead of win with Carter. Detroit signed Jeff Garcia instead of Carter and did nothing, Cleveland signed Trent Dilfer instead of Carter and did nothing and the Raiders signed Collins instead of Carter and did nothing. Dallas signed Bledsoe instead of going back to Carter and did nothing. How much does it take to sink in, the last two NFL teams that Carter had substantial playing for made the playoffs. That aint no accident.

Why does he get so much love and adoration? He was a slightly below average QB on his best day.

I don't see many "Oh, good luck, Clint Stoerner threads."

Why would you wish good luck on a former player that let the team down because he couldn't get his personal addictions under control?

Would you want someone with that lack of mental fortitude as your QB? Obviously not, because once you get past the media fluff, you find the real QC story. A guy who was terribly insecure and immature. A guy, who from many accounts, was a real jerk to members of the media that criticized him and who threw his teammates under the bus.

I used to have to qualify anything I said on the guy because if you knocked him, you'd immediately get subtle jabs accusing racism and comments about how hard he worked and how he was a good guy in the community.

Light has finally been shed on the guy and people still have their heads stuck in the sand. He was an awful QB and a terrible teammate and Dallas is much better off with him gone.

Love and adoration? I hardly think that is an accurate description. Did QC kick your dog or steal your lunch money or something? Where else could blatant hatred towards someone you don't even know come from?

All I said was that he worked his *** off for us while he was here. If you want to debate that, bring a sack lunch as you will be in for a long day. There are/were several articles talking about QC spending even more time at the Ranch than BP. First one there, last one to leave. But hey, he had a lisp, let's trash the guy.

Again, I have a QC jersey, but to say he is/was a better QB than Bledsoe is a bit silly.

Unlike other players who are objects of even bigger distain, this player actually did tangibly hurt the franchise. That is worthy of rancor moreso than any other player.

So because he tried hard that excuses his ditching of the team because he wanted to smoke more? Interesting logic you have there.

Answer my question! Are you MAN ENOUGH? Or, are you just a kid laughing like one?

Why is QC not in the NFL? Come on, kid...you can do it! Man up, and answer the question, because if you don't, you have revealed yourself for what you really are....

Your call...

Alright. I will concede for a moment (only a moment) that you are somehow correct.

Carter is the best QB ever.

So why is he in Canada again? Conspiracy? What?

Don't skirt around the issue. If he is so talented, why would players like Williams get second chances and he cannot?

And a backup in Canada, at that.

We know the answer. We shouldn't want to hear it again, because it generally results in thread closing, LOL.

Great question and I'm keeping an eye on this one because I have asked it before but got no response.
