Doesn't mean the content is wrong, but really Chris? How blatant can you be? You should know you can't parade a story like this around the internet as your own, and not expect it to get exposed.

This is the caliber of folks that run through 105.3 The Fan. As they continue to shuffle their lineup of horrible hosts, from drug addicts like Greg Williams to laughable wannabes like Richie Whitt, who openly started dating his female producer on his show, then got fired. It's a collection of nobodies that have gotten fired over and over in this market for a variety of reasons, most notably a supreme lack of talent.

Chris Arnold seems like a great guy, but he has no verbal polish at all, nor the sports knowledge necessary to carry a show. He sits alongside a dimwitted fool who talks about videogames as much as sports. Arnold has long been the "sports" guy on 104.5, the kingpin station of the local hip-hop scene. He's kind of a sports groupie around here, dropping names and making friends with celebrity athletes.

As soon as the station loses he Cowboys games, it'll fold like a lawnchair.

Arnold didn't even bother to add his year's stats to the numbers when he released "his" story.

LOL par for the course for that childish station.

He needs to go back to being the emcee at Mavs games. He's good at that.

When is their contract up b/c I'm counting down the days. They need to go back to the Ticket.

I mean they have a Commanders fan interviewing Jerry every week. The idiot is always dissing the city of Dallas. Nobody sees anything wrong with this?

I'm not sure I've ever seen something so blatant.

I like Arnold okaymwhenhes talking about the Mavs, but he probably needs to get in trouble fg his in some way.

I can live with the copying & pasting to an extent, but when you do that much and then go and pass it off as your own work...

I was thinking of another word rhyming with rick. Just me, tho.

Trick? Yeah, I think he's probably just trying to trick him into thinking it was unintentional, too.

What would be great would be if he *were* to have him there on his show, and then, once he got him on air, he just copied everything he says the whole time, word for word. Then, at the end, he could tell him he's 'greatness' some more.

Brilliant.

This whole thing reminds of any play on which there is a great play made by someone and a flag somewhere else on the field, and instead of focusing on the great play, we get four replays of the foul, the penalty for which was declined anyway.

IOW, great article by Kacsmar.

Those of us who have made posts here, then seen the same info pop up on a major blog an hour and a half later know how this feels.

Look at his Twitter (@MrChrisArnold). Now he's trying to back-peddle and brown nose the original writer as much as possible, talking about how great he is and how he should come on the show as a guest!

I get the criticism but just by reading the article the only thing Arnold did was display facts like the original writer did lol. I can see if he was reciting the same words and structure as the original writer but if you read a Tony Romo article based on the same topic its going to have the same stats in it. I'm not excusing what Chris did but I don't understand why the original author is getting credit for being "original". He spewed off the same stats that other writers have put in their columns and said it nearly identical.

I'm not excusing what Chris did but I don't understand why the original author is getting credit for being "original". He spewed off the same stats that other writers have put in their columns and said it nearly identical.
Here are examples as noted by the Big Lead article.

I’ll just point out a few, but rest assured, this is only a sampling.
ARNOLD: “We know Romo isn’t a bus driver. He has thrown for over 300 yards a total of 41 times and has 51 games with a passer rating over 100.0 (minimum 15 attempts). His 7.94 yards per attempt is the seventh highest in NFL history. He’s not conservative.”

KACSMAR: “We know Romo isn’t a caretaker. He has thrown for 300 yards a total of 40 times and has 48 games with a passer rating over 100.0 (minimum 15 attempts). His 7.94 yards per attempt is the seventh highest in NFL history.”

[Oh good, he changed "caretaker" to "bus driver". You might argue that this is not plagiarism since the number of games has changed. Well, except the "next level analysis" could not go to the next level of updating Romo's career yards per attempt, which is at 7.95 after Sunday. Math is hard, and the easiest way to spot plagiarism from a lazy person is laziness is carrying forward a math error or a number that has changed.]

ARNOLD: Romo has seven straight seasons with a passer rating of at least 90.0 (minimum 200 attempts). Only Steve Young (1991-98) and Peyton Manning (2003-10) have ever done that. Romo’s 95.6 passer rating is fifth all time.

KACSMAR: Romo has seven straight seasons with a passer rating of at least 90.0 (minimum 200 attempts). Only Steve Young (1991-98) and Peyton Manning (2003-10) have ever done that. Romo’s 95.6 passer rating is fifth all time.

[Had Chris Arnold done a modicum of original research, he would have seen that Romo's passer rating, according to the pro-football-reference.com career leaders page, is now 96.6. That puts him at 4th as he and Tom Brady have switched places since the start of this season.]

ARNOLD: In fact, Romo became the first quarterback in team history to lead 3 consecutive comebacks and game-winning drives in Weeks 13-15. The 9-point comeback Romo led in Cincinnati was the only time the Bengals allowed 20 points in their final nine games. He followed that up with a 14-point comeback in the final 4:45 to force overtime with New Orleans before going on to lose 34-31. But all everyone remembers is the last game against the Commanders and his last pick.

KACSMAR: Romo became the first quarterback in team history to lead three consecutive comebacks and game-winning drives in Weeks 13-15. He followed that up with a 14-point comeback in the final 4:45 to force overtime with New Orleans before going on to lose 34-31.

The nine-point comeback Romo led in Cincinnati was the only time the Bengals allowed 20 points in their final nine games.

But it’s that Week 17 disappointment on another big, national stage that people are going to remember.

[A slight rearranging of the sentence order, moving the Bengals sentence up, but other than that almost identical.]

ARNOLD: No one’s trying to put Romo in the Hall of Fame or on the same pedestal as Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, but the facts remain that he’s very good and gets held to one of the more ridiculous standards in the league. There are other quarterbacks blowing games more often than Romo, and there aren’t as many giving their team a chance to win as Romo.

There are other quarterbacks blowing games more often than Romo, and there aren’t as many giving their team a chance to win so often.

[In contrast, I would like to put Chris Allen in the Plagiarism Hall of Fame, on the same pedestal as Lynn Hoppes and Jonah Lehrer.]

ARNOLD: Like clockwork, Romo had one of his worst moments when the Nielsen ratings were at their highest.
