To know if he is a christian seems you would have to have some exposure to him other than media hype.

Seems to me you have a control thing going on - if your convictions and teachings are strong you don't need to control. They will do the right thing, because you have set the example, and they can differentiate when something is good or bad.

Your choice between a known drug user (repentent or not), and a loud mouth jerk is surprising. There is backsliding constantly from these guys, what situation would you put your son in if the backslide happens during camp. The mouth can be controlled...

Don't forget the DaVinci code book is fiction, and the movie based on that fiction.

It is disturbing to think that some will take it literally.

Whoa so now you get to decide who is a christian and who isn't??

See at first you were only a hypocrite, now you are worse. Somehow you believe you alone have the right to say who is morally good, and who is christian enough for you. This is where the conversation has to end you are way to righteous and judgemental for me. I say let God decide who is a good christian and morally acceptable not Aikemirv on the Zone.

Also "Sorry if I am judging" earlier in this thread you said ""judge not lest ye be judged"

I don't get to decide but the Bible says I will know them by their fruit.

Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Bible was written by man therefore it is corrupted.....

Also...what happened before 2000 years? Did everyone just burn in hell?

Sorry for being off topic but I hate when people try and get elitest.

1st Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

In Greek that means "God-Breathed". It is from God and is not corrupt or inacurate.

Please show me an error. There are many scientific facts and archeological facts in the Bible. The scientific ones were well before their time, yet no scientific errors.. No archeological errors either. Can you explain how a book written that long ago has no errors in it.

Something for all of us to think about.

WOW!!!! All this because the man is trying to put on a football camp for kids?? Maybe I should re-think my decision to visit the children's hospital this Christmas. Wouldn't want to be cast into the fire!

I agree with you on this one, but you won't get some on here to agree, so keep that in mind.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me, I was just tired of words getting put in my mouth and being baited into crazy scenarios.

It just doesn't sound like you actually mean it. On the one hand, you say you hope he proves you wrong - which means you've already formed your opinion about how this is going to work out. You claim that he is the only person that can alter your view, yet you go into this whole thing with that view set in stone.

Isn't it possible that you don't know everything that went on previously? Isn't it possible that he could be an entirely different person here?

If it is, then why have you already decided how things are going to work out?

Why not just wait and see?

Sorry if you can't grasp it what I'm saying TO has had chances and each time he has not changed and continues to be a disruptive force. If I had my say we would not have gotten him however it is not my choice the organization is giving him a chance and until he can show that he has changed I see no reason to believe he has changed for me to have any change of heart it will be by his action not his words or those of you who feel differently. I'm not telling others they must feel as I do we each have our own feelings about this subject.

First here is a academic one for you:
Is pi, the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a circle, equal to 3.0, as is implied by I Kings 7:23 and II Chronicles 4:2, or is it equal to about 3.1416, as all mathematicians agree?

Second here is a contradiction:
Is it true that “No man has ever seen God at any time” (John 1:18) or did Isaiah (6:1) and Moses and the elders (Exodus 24:9-12) see God?

Let's not even get into what language Jesus spoke. I got more for you if you want them. Like I said written by man, therefor corrupted.

Don't even get me started on what the bible says concerning rape and women....

Now don't get me wrong, about what I am saying here. I don't blindly follow what someone says without first doing my own research. Fact of the matter is the bible was written, rewritten, edited and censored many times over the past 2000 years, not to mention that we have absolutly nothing in common with the people back then. Socially or Morally. If someone from that time could be brought forward, they would think we were all devil spawn or gods ourselves. But the INTENT of the bible is a GOOD thing, and still has purpose. Reminds me of the South Park "all about mormons" episode.

Now baaaaacckk on topic:

Who is blaming others.

My point is and always has been that there is more to the story. His situation isn't as black and white as you have read or have been told by a sensational media. That is like listening to the ravings of Galloway and Floyd recently and assuming that the rift between Jones and Parcells is completely true, just because you read it.

I am not on a crusade to get people to love Owens. I don't love him. But I am rational enough to know that there are people smarter than I am running this team and they know more about him and his character and feel it is worth it. I guess now I have to jump on my moral high horse and degrade Jerry Jones and Bill Parcells' sense of morality, because I clearly will lose in the information department, right?

It's also amazing what wearing it will do also. Would Michael Irvin be pondscum to you had he never worn a Cowboy jersey? Had Owens not "desecrated" the star, would you feel as strongly
I doubt it.

?

And those in the organization say different things about this player's character than you have heard. Does that not registier, or do you already have your mind made up?

1st off your the one complaing about ESPN with smart ars comments so you are pushing TO behavior on them because they have the nerve to report it. As i said the media will continue to watch how some players who have past reputation behave and they will be fast to report it even a moron like TO knows that yet does not deter him in the least and while things may not be black and white it says a lot when it always involved TO, you could be right some of it could have been McNabb or Garica or the the coaches he has had but the one common in all of this is TO.

2nd On Irvin being a part of the team for years clearly did play a part in why Mike has continue to be accepted however had Mike been playing else where then got busted I doubt many around here would be hollering for a player who was in trouble. Personally when Mike was found guilty I would not have been upset had the Cowboys released him I had seen this organization with Tex and Tom do that to their players when something like that had happen.

3rd I'm not telling anyone they have to jump on Bill and Jerry over this signing they know the risk involved with TO and if things don't work out they clearly will catch hell over it you know it as well as I do and I will lay odds that some of the complaining will be by some of the same fans praising this deal today.

4th as for the Star incident that really plays a very small part of my distaste towards TO, his constant blowups on the sidelines and in the locker room has played a bigger part, the way he goes to the media to rip on teammates bothers me. The showboating I could careless, I'm not big into that but not really offended by it either as long as the TEAM is not getting nailed for 15 yarders because of it.

Lastly a lot of players are being positive about TO and I think that is good I don't want to see guys start off on the wrong foot with TO I want to see them welcome him and treat him decent at least then if this goes south on us no one can blame our players for TO behavior as some of you are doing now regarding SF and Philly players.

Hope everything turns out good for you Dooms !

I hope it turns out good for all of us. I'm all for having a big time playmaker and as long as he causes no problems for Dallas then this has a chance to work. My being skeptical has to do with numerous incidents that I have witnessed that I do not want to see happen on this team. See I don't think 1player is worth it not when dealing with 53 men on a team. So if he controls himself then there is no problem as far as I'm concerned. Unlike some I'm not upset with TO over his training camp for kids, I think it is a great thing for the kids who attend.

I think Wilbon and Kornheiser are members at CZ.com... they just had a debate on whether you'd take your kid to Camp TO. They appeared to just disregard any concerns. They stated that kids typically learn from coaches not the person the camp is named after.

I will just start with the first one with this explanation - since I am not a mathmetician, I think this guy states it better than me.

You should have read what was wrote.

in the first link the writer pretty much says that things were rounded to the nearest whole number. Ok I am callign BS on this one, there were other cultures that predate the writing of the bible that come much closer to the what the bibles states. If the bible was written from the breath of God as you claim then it would be exact, not something general. Want to know what happend? I will tell you. It was written by man, one who apparently was not to good in math. Since there are many other mathamatical errors in the bible. I for one would like to think our creator could add.

Now the second like is even more laughable the writer states "This sort of complaint, seems silly to me. First of all, the Bible never claims to be a mathematics book. Secondly, the writer most likely had no knowledge of Geometry and was simply writing a general historical account." So in esssence the two articles you wrote pretty much contradict each other. So which one is it?

Look man, you have your beliefs and I have mine. They are simlier, yet different. I respect yours do the same for mine. This dabate has and will continue to go on for thousands of years, long after you and I are dust. Now let's get back to DC Football and TO doing a great thing by putting on a Football Camp for the kids.
