I've never seen a INNOCENT person sit back and take accusations and not shout...scream...freak out or whatever...

Witten isn't going through the Judicial system...He hasn't or isn't or ever going to be charged...He didn't do it. Or do you know something I don't?

He wants to Clear his name and if he has to Shout to do it he should...Good God.

Look my Mother Died when I was 10...After 10 years of Cancer and suffering...That's right she got it right after I was Born...I think I'm more than prepared to talk about loss.

So don't come in here and tell me about loss.

I'm sorry for your loss but I think you are making a jump here that I don't understand.

I'm saying that a better approach for commenting would be to respect the loss over anything else -- don't make it about yourself when others are clearly suffering worse. As I've said several times, those comments make it sound like "poor me, there is a rumor about me" -- to me it comes off as self-centered. And you have to know if I feel that way that others will take it the same.

As a bystander, this whole thread has really gotten out of hand if you ask me.

Look people...we don't know what either of them said word for word. The media doesn't publish or report EVERY WORD of an interview. Perhaps condolences were extended to the victims' families by both Witten and his car dealer friend before or after vigorously defending themselves, but that part of the story wasn't published or reported for whatever reason. There just isn't enough information given to say someone was being "insensitive" or that Witten and Grindstone (or whatever his name is) treated the victims as afterthoughts here.

This thread is... I can't think of an acceptable word. Yes someone was killed and reverence should be paid to that fact. However, murder or killing someone is a serious crime and a serious accusation and ANYONE who is wrongful accused has the right to say they had no involvment.

This is stupid. It's not like they were blaming the death for the problems they're having. They're complaining about the rumors. Why does he have to go into being sorry that someone died? Why is it necessary? What does feeling sympathy for the family of the deceased have anything to do with the issues he and his family are dealing with because of stupid rumors?

I guess nobody should ever complain about anything again without first expressing their sorrow about someone that died at some point in time. Cowboys blow a big game? Can't complain, someone died somewhere in the world. Wife cheated on ya? Nope, can't complain.

And IMHO "class" is an evil twisted thing that should die a horrible death. A very stupid concept.

honestly i don't care - i hate it when people get anal-nuts on a word anyway and make it mean what it means *to them* and not how the writer said it - but this does sound like you'd *scream*. pretty clear in several posts. : )
