Shockey's a REDNECK (red from the neck up) and a MEATHEAD (dead from the neck up). A "VERY AVERAGE TE".

They remind me of the 1997 Cowboys except they are thuggish.
Dallas started off fast blowing out Pittsburgh opening day 37-7 on the road. They looked great but then they lost in OT to Arizona the next week and generally played up and down until they were 6-5. In his entire career Barry Switzer had NEVER lost three games in a row, Dallas dropped their final five to finish 6-10. Switzer resigned after the season.

New York started off hot but are full of much more personal animousity and venom than any team i can recollect, it makes beating them when they are down pleasurable. I cast no pity. Coughlin is a lame duck after another loss.
Watch New York pursue Pete Carroll or Mike Martz.

I wonder if this is Strehan's last season? It must be close to it. Isn't he getting up there in age? In any case, I can't believe that he plays too much longer.

And if T. Barber does retire . . . .

Suddenly the Giants don't seem as formidable.

And I'm curious how long Burress will be welcome as well, esp. if a new coach comes to town. Pitts was happy enough not to re-sign him, and now we all know why.

Strahan is the type of player that will play until they won't sign him again or he just cannot play anymore. He will be back as long as he has a contract.

They can draft a running back for Tiki to pass the torch to :D( you like what i did there, tell me you didn't I dare you!;)) Anyhow Barber is very replacable, not that remarkale in my humble opinion, good, but not remarkable to the point the Giants would not live without him.

But i mean really who cares if he isnt as physically imposing as some other QBs out their.

He still goes out their game in and game out and packs crazy stats, yea he had a off game but leading the team to that winning FG is all that matters. He threw 1 pick that was his fault, besides that he doesnt throw very many. He can lead the team and manage the ball very well

Romo is 5-1, and should be 6-0, if it had'nt been for our poor special team blocking. Two times already he has shown a knack to lead the team down the field for a victory.

The kid plays with a attitude and spunk that you just cant help but love. As Aikman says, when its 3rd and long for some reason you always have the feeling that Romo is going to do something out of the ordinary to make a play happen.

Gimmie that over Choke artists Manning, Mcnabb, etc...

Shockey doesnt know jack shi*, he is still jealous over the fact that we did'nt select him in that draft. And it shows with his continous hating. The fact of the matter is that Shockey can't even hold Wittens strap receiving and blocking.

After all the bickering they used the "us against the world" mentality to play the Cowboys a tough game. I really think that after still losing, they have a great chance of spiraling out of control now.

Yeah, Shockey blah, blah, blah.... still living off the first pass he ever caught in his career during that Hall of Fame preseason game vs. Houston where he ran through half the Texans. Since then? Hasn't done jack. End of story, Jeremy. Shut up and go home.

Ok ok I'll admit this is hard for me to say being I have ties with Univ. of Miami football, but Shockey and KII in Cleveland need to learn humility and losing doesn't seem to work for these guys.....I'm not going to even talk about Jacobs because D. Ware did all the talking for me on that 4th down play!

Good point on Winslow. I watched the Cleveland game yesterday on the Dish and I said to myself, Kellen Jr. needs to pull out tape of his dad in the 41-38 SD-MIA playoff in '81 when his father had to be carried off the field. That's how you walk the walk...

Yep he needs to have a talk with young K2 because it's not becoming of his last name...

Shockey and gang can talk noise, and we'll just casually slide into the play offs, and make it to the NFC championship game, and anything can happen from there.

So let them be the talkers, we'll be the walkers.

I can honestly understand why some are tempted to call Romo average.

He's not your prototype franchise QB. Aikman was, Peyton is, Elway, Marino, Palmer. Big, tall, physically imposing, strong arms, kind of a stern John Wayne-esq personality that oozes "I'm the man" without saying a word.

Romo is none of that. Honestly he just looks like an average guy. But he packs an incredible wallop. Faster, more elusive than you think, stronger arm than you think, smart as a whip when the ball is in his hands, but he plays with almost a smirk on his face.

Then he beats you on a play. And when the play is over you look at the guy again think "you don't scare me." And then you line up again, and he beats you again, and again, and again. But you still look at him and say, "you don't scare me." His style and appearance will be slow to convince some, but he is very real.

Reminds me of my thoughts on Chuck Foreman when he was teh Vikings feature back. Not overly fast, strong or elusive, but had just enough of each to be incredibly effective. He'd put up big numbers on you but you're still tempted to look at him and say "you don't scare me."

Romo is more Joe Montana then John Wayne but thats quite alright with me. Romo will wina SB before Peyton does.

In CZ lore you can BOOK IT! rofl.
