as bad as the season is going, what should we do in the next draft

There isn't one... but there's a CB at least two DE/OLB, 1 DE, and one DT..

but he's right.. I seems like some people have a hard time comprehending reality.

Tony Romo is the franchise QB for the Dallas Cowboys. He's going to be around for this current contract and one more. During that time, the Dallas Cowboys WILL NOT select a QB in the 1st round unless TR's career ends before it supposed to.

OLB/DEs + cowboys scouting scares me in the first round apart from Ware we've kinda missed on those. Spencer has had some flashes of greatness but overall been very disappointing

DT that high only makes sense if we're moving back to a 4-3

All us "stupid people" who say take a QB if that's BPA are looking at Romo's age and remember all to well how trying to replace Aikman at the last minute turned out.

This team is quite a bit off contending for anything so just reaching for needs is not a good idea, take BPA even if it's a QB if there's not a need player rated that high when you pick.

Not wanting to spend 70mill on a QB but happy to spend it on some late first earl 2nd round OL you reached for with a top 5 pick isn't that much smarter then taking a QB.

We'll also have a high 2nd round pick if we end up as bad as it looks like we will and that's where the majority of OL talent is projected to go this year.

Be time of draft, we'll have cut all the players not worth their money & hopefully have signed at least 1 good FA starter or hopefully 2--maybe at S/FS & OL (possibly OC/OG). We'll also know whether there will be football in 2011.

Given our high picks, we might be able trade down out of our first rounder to somewhere around 10th) but also picking up the 10th pick in 2nd round to go with our own 2nd rounder. So we'd have 4 top picks in first 3 rounds with at least 2 good starters acquired in FA.

We'll also know real soon after end of season whose the new HC & identities of his coaching staff. Obviously everything depends on whether CBA works out & we play football in 2011. If not, I'm not sure what any of the owners will do.

If we are picking top 10 we are taking a CB.

If our new coach wants a 4-3 we could take a DE or LB too.

Rounds 2 and 3 we will look at OL but I think we like Young and Costa so all the posters wanting OT and center may be crying come draft time. Bright and Brewster may make us skip guard too.

Honestly I see us re-signing Kosier, keeping Holland and signing Mankins.

Our OL next year will be LT Free, LG Kosier, C Gurode, RG Mankins, RT Colombo

Back-ups Young, Costa, Holland and Brewster/Bright/ the G/C we draft round 3 or later.

I think we will take CB in the first, DE or ILB in the second, QB/WR/DE or ILB whichever we didn't take in the 2nd, G/C in the 4th.

:laugh2:Christian Ponder in the 1st round..I can't stop laughing!

We need to get better in the trenches. I'd love to get a playmaking safety or CB but bottom line, if we can't protect Romo on offense, it will be pointless and if we can't get consistent pressure on the DLine, the CBs will be targeted all day.

I really hope we don't get a DE. We've gone that route sooo many times in the past. Just move Ratliff to DE and draft Jerrell Powe from Ole Miss. 6'2" 330 pounds, he is the 3-4 NT we've never had!
