Asante Samuel, Dallas Cowboys CB?

We will not get into a bidding war over this guy.

At some point you have to build from within.

I think we could make a splash for one bigger name FA but I don't see us breaking the bank for anyone.

We have the money. We have an owner that isn't scared of spending it and wants to win now. We have a potentially massive hole at CB if Henry is moved to safety. We have absolutely no one who can replace Henry on the roster at the moment.

I really can't see a single thing that would lead anyone to believe we won't attempt to sign Samuels, other than the fact that we could spend a 1st rounder on a CB (which I wouldn't mind doing).

The Pats will most likely not keep Samuel.

Why, I show up when my contract is up.

Euguene Wilson is a much better secondary player. I think we would like to keep him, if we are smart.

Samuel, did you hear about him last year. He was OK, but Wilson was clearly the better player. Wilson has been hurt, but I put my hope in him, not Samuel. Top dollar for him. No, I will take Hobbs, Wilson, and a new draft choice.

I do not trust players that show up at contract time. Hit the road jack.

That being said, the Pats love defense. Defense, defense, defense.

Samuel is better than Newman to me and he would be the number one DB on the team. The guy is a great ballhawk!

My answer.

Did you remember Samuel year before last. Not.

I watch the team. Wilson is our best secondary player if he would just get healthy.

Harrison next, but again always injured.

Our needs fall more with our receivers.

We need

2 receivers -- not just one --geez.

One linebacker -- only one.

One guy in the secondary to replace Harrison.

Other than that, we are solid. Young and solid.

We can afford to lose Samuel. We cannot afford to have our number one guy Brady with Moe, Larry, and Curly -- or was that Mr. Wide Eyes that cannot hold onto a ball.
