He needs to cut out with the jokes. That's too expensive... Well, I guess we would have to draft the next great conerback.

I believe we may already have one of the next great conerbacks on our team.... Cortney Brown...

Patriots | Samuel looking for 10-year contract
Sat, 23 Feb 2008 12:15:11 -0800

Karen Guregian, of the Boston Herald, reports New England Patriots CB Asante Samuel, who will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, is reportedly looking for a 10-year contract worth $100 million. He is also looking for $30 million guaranteed up front.

Is he that good? I say NO

Last I heard Philly was making a run for him.

There's been rumors flying all over the place of Fitz going to Philly for Lito/Spikes(and maybe a 1st day pick) among other things. Looks to me like Reid is betting the farm knowing that the McNabb era is starting to come to a close.

With that being said-NO-Samuel is OVER-rated. Sure-he's a great playmaker, but he can NOT defend well against those inside slant routes, which he got burned on alot in the Super Bowl.

thats why teams are looking to try and trade for guys like hall. samuels may just price himself out of the game.he will never get 100 mil nor 30 mil bonus. he better think about this a bit or he may end up very disappointed

Why wouldnt he? Nate got 22 million just last year. It's not out of the realm to believe that Samuels will get closer to 30. Maybe not 30 exactly but I wouldnt be shocked to see him get 27-28.
