Ravens certainly draft well on defense. They will draft a guy to replace Ray Lewis soon and a gut to replace McAlister, Reed, etc.

Not saying those drafted players will be as good, but they will be good solid players.

On offense ? Not so much. They still havent drafted many consistent offensive players in seemingly ages.

Hey man you seem pretty civil for a 'skins fan, but I can't understand why you fans of other teams want to come to another teams board, please explain, I'm not trying to pick a fight or be rude, I just really want to hear you reason why would you want too?

If they drafted both sides of the ball equally they would be unbeatable.

You do realize that 4 of their starting defensive players were acquired through free agency, right?

Only 3 of our defensive starters are from free agency.
Big difference. Ayodele is the kind of guy they would usually sign. They've generally signed FAs off the scrap heap and like Rodney Harrison after his old team didn't want him. Vrabel was virtually a non-entity til he got to NE. Colvin was one of the few high $ FAs they've gone after, whereas Ferguson and Henry were 2 of the most expensive guys out there when we got them.

Where did they get Vrabel from? That guys a "FOOTBALL PLAYER". The NFL could use more of those.

I miss Billy Boy Bates.

But Jason Ferguson, Akin Ayodele, and Henry have been complete crap here?

Understandable, and no offense taken.

After years on your own teams boards it starts to become monotonous and boring even at times. At least, I can come here and have a reasonable debate (sometimes) and get a non-homer perspective (regarding the Commanders). After a while it just gets to be the same ol' thing day in and day out. If I were a Cowboys fan am tiring of the TO threads at some points, and are increasingly tiring of the Parcells decision threads at this point. Well its the same thing on a Commanders board. Dont get me wrong, I read and post on Commanders boards daily, but there is more interest in reasonable debate and opposition too (At least for me, and several of your Cowboys brethren as well).

Hope that answer is sufficient.

Not at all. I was just saying that their FA strategy has usually been limited to low $ players and rejects. Sort of the way ours was this past offseason, sans TO.

I thought Ferguson played at a pro bowl level, and AA played well the last half of the season.

For whatever reason, Henry's play has declined since he got here. That's just another reason I don't want Todd Bowles promoted to DC.

Yet their HC/OC is an "offensive guru".

Thats the point I was making.

I think NE will franchise him. Who else on that roster would they franchise?

Not many teams are DYING to use that tag. Patriots least of all, the team who just ditches on good players year after year but somehow still wins.......

must be nice. Just win no matter who is playing for you. Hell, WR as a DB.....no problem.

Thats to be expected. I dont have any problem with folks who talk a little trash and whatnot (especially during game weeks). But at the same time, I typically try to give a fair outsiders opinion on topics I post on.

Thats certainly not going to ever happen, I will never convert to the darkside. Last thing you guys need is more bandwagon fans. :laugh2:

Fair enough, as I said I just get bored with the same ol' same ol' after a while and like to get various input from other teams fans, from time to time. I post (or read) on many team sites, not just Cowboys (Eagles, Bucs, Dolphins, Colts, Bears, Panthers, Falcons, Giants, etc).

I'm not sure they think he is a top 5 corner in the league to merit Franchise money.
