Asante vs Bryant

If in Philly I put Nnamdi on Dez. I guess he shadow him though. 25MM guaranteed only plays one side

That's the great thing, he plays 1 side :laugh2:

line up our WR's all on 1 side

That will force him out his comfort zone....or force them to play zone coverage...hahaha

I'm looking for a lot of WR screens. Samuel's a poor tackler and Miles/Dez are monsters after the catch.

They could also put Rodgers-Cromartie on Dez. He's a 6'2 corner who probably matches up better with Dez than Samuel does. Either way, Witten should have a monster game against those LB's

DRC has been playing the slot mostly. And I remember another Cromartie having a lot of trouble with Dez who is roughly the same size.

Not to mention, DRC isn't very good in the slot and was on the decline in Arizona anyway. Why would he be better under Juan Castillo?

The big name corners for the Eagles don't have any good matchups on the Dallas receivers.

Austin can handle Asomugha or anyone on their squad for that matter.

Bryant can handle Asante.

DRC is overrated.

I'd say they should put Aso on Witten, but he apparently is only effective with press coverage (against a TE? I don't think so) and only plays one side of the field. He'd be horrible guarding a big body in the middle of the field.

if someone can get our WR corp organized and healthy health being the big issue not to be ignored, than ill take our WR corp over their CBs any day of the week and we should run and catch over them all day.

run double moves on Samule and he ends up looking like a fool. The guy is overly aggressive he loves to jump short routs and any time a WR makes the double move and takes it up field Samule ends up out of position and having to chase the play

I wouldn't expect a lot of fans to understand the nuances of what Nnamdi is being asked to do in Philly, which is a lot of zone coverages. In Oakland, Nnamdi played almost exclusively man coverage.

Its interesting to note, I was listening to a Mike Jenkins interview yesterday and he stated that Ryan gives the corners free reign on how they want to play their man, as long as they get them covered.

That being the case, I still believe Nnamdi would have been outstanding in Dallas. But that ship has sailed and I'm rolling with Newman, Jenkins and Scandrick, et cetera.

He excels in man coverage, but even in Oakland he couldn't cover Austin.

He would have been good here but would we have Elam? The way our corners are playing, (all of them) Elam turned out to be the better signing for us.

Him AND Cullen Jenkins.

Look at how good our CB's look right now in Ryan's scheme. Newman and Jenkins are back, Scandrick is playing the best ball of his career. Ball and Walker look like NFL CB's.

Imagine what Nnamdi would look like... man.

And Cullen Jenkins on this defense? God it infuriates me just thinking about how good this defense could've been had he gone here. Him + Rat collapsing the pocket through the middle = Ware breaks the sack record easily.

yea if we run curls infront of dude, we are dumb. He will jump that **** and pick it off...no short routes on Asante's side

Dez should win this matchup EASILY. Samuel is a ballhawk not a cover corner.

Yeah that can be a good and bad thing....we have route run his ***, and take him deep...he owns the short stuff all day

I'd take either one of our receivers vs. Samuel. Not even a question. The guy isn't a great man corner - never has been, never will be.

But with our pension for dumb mistakes, don't be surprised if he gets an opportunistic pick.

Can you even imagine Asante trying to tackle Dez? It's going to be pure comedy at it's best :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: . The guy almost broke his own neck while trying to tackle Fred Davis in the Washington game.

I can actually picture Dez Bryant dragging Asante Samuel into the End-zone.:laugh1:
