Ashton Jeanty, TMAC and Jihad Campbell on the board at 12

So let's do the Jerry route then.
Good enough for a long time and nothing.

I get people saying we need to build a team and then get the BOMB player, but you could also get the BOMB player and build around them also.

Our main problemo is Jerry doing Jerry things.
I get it. I'm sure jeanty will be good.

I guess, as there is huge debate ongoing on this very site about having to pick QBs in the 1st round, my position is I wouldn't look at rbs until 3rd or later.

There just aren't that many that stand out in todays game. Today's defenders are fast, too. Having good hands and blocking is more important than running with the ball lol

BPA that's not a RB.

You posters don't want to pay RB's, so why waste a valuable pick on one if the position is so devalued? Because you think he's a generational talent that can't bust? If he doesn't bust, are you gonna wanna pay him?

Trade down if the offer is good. Or go for an expensive position you are willing to pay second contract on.
Dallas needs to take a great running back to compensate for our elite quarterback.

I'm not necessarily talking about Jeanty. I'm talking about going for the big gun over 2 pea shooters, no matter the guy.

I don't know ow much about him honestly.
But if a first round talent defensive player is there. I take him. I rather invest 10 draft picks on defense
A consensus top 10 RB has more impact than a 20s ranked MiKE!
Normally I’d agree on defense, hell, normally I’d stand on the table… but the value just isn’t there at 12 on defense this draft!

Get the Impact player. Forget getting a worse 1st rounder and a 3rd, or more likely a 4th that probably will never be worth a darn in terms of value of that impact player you could have had.
Agree, quality order quantity.

1 great pick in the 1st is worth every single 4, 5, 6, 7 and UDFA you could get,
And you're not selling those picks so you still get your depth, or whatever fodder they end up being.

Depending on the talent in a particular draft and team needs...im being frugal when it comes to QBs and RBs.

I don't care if jeanty is the super soaker and the others are squirt guns...

Give me an Olineman, Defensive End, Corner....im not spending picks on crapshoot QBs or dime a dozen RBs.

By most mock draft Ashton Jeanty will be gone by pick 12, but who would you take if the best RB, WR and LB is on the board at pick 12. Im torn, love Jeanty, TMAC and CD could be lights out and Campbell and Parson could be a nightmare for offenses. Who would you take. FYI: I dont like Golden, he is to small and not sure if he is a true stand alone #1 WR. TMAC reminds me of DJ Moore or Mike Evans and that would make a crazy match up with CD and TMAC.
I would trade down.

If TMac and Jeanty are both gone. Hopefully Walter Nolen or Will Johnson is there. If not trade down if we can find a trade partner.

Using a high first round pick on a RB is a roster building mistake. Use these picks for expensive positions that have long term value. DL, OL, CB or WR. Otherwise trade down.

My preference is to trade out of this year's number one for additional picks next year.
