That is an elite defense they have.

I wouldn’t snagging a few Oregon, Penn State and Ohio State defensive guys early.

The scary thing about Jeanty is that most draft nicks believe he is a top 5 player in the 2025 draft. That makes me more afraid about the lack of talent in this draft.

On the other hand if you are a Jeanty fan he now has a chance to be available at our current draft position. I was afraid he would go for a buck fifty and 3 touchdowns. Then he would have become a top 7 pick.

The lesson here is no RB can excel if the run blocking is not there. Jeanty got whatever yards he could but we hit in the backfield too many times to get going. This is why I opposed signing Henry or Barkley in the off season. Behind the Cowboys offensive line, they would look like JAGs too.

I prefer to see Dallas go after OL and DL early. They absolutely have to get stronger on both sides of the ball.

Sounds like you think the Penn St. game will cause his draft stock to go down. That isn't the case.

Jeanty is only 5'9" at best. He also runs a 4.42 40. Good speed but not blazing fast. He can dominate against lesser talented defenses, but we all saw him get stopped by a far bigger and more talented defense yesterday.

Unfair or not, his draft stock fell after the game. Here's why. When a guy like Emmett or Barry were at college doing great, they ran very well against tough competition, DESPITE poor lines in front of them. They were outstanding backs no matter the circumstances. Especially Barry with his shiftiness. Jeanty is still really good. But not on the level he was hyped up to be. He just isn't. I'm guilty too, of buying his hype. Would I still draft him? Yes, just not at 11. I'm trading back. He will help a team day 1, but I'm not moving up for him or picking him early

No and No (in  bold ^^^).

Can go DL 2nd - 4th rounds. Can go OL in the 5th (Cowboys currently have four 5th round picks).

Cowboys need a very good WR2 to help CeeDee and this offense. We all saw what happened to our offense when CeeDee didn't play this past week.

I think he has to have a good combine. The reality is Penn State was a professional defensive line and made Jeanty look ordinary. He is going to have run fast and do well in the agility drills. Jeanty is like 5’8 and I don’t think you can run him 20 times a game.

Remember what Emmitt reminded his draft critics.........you can't measure heart. I don't think his draft stock took a hit at all. Teams will evaluate him for his career, not just last night's game.

He will need to run faster than 4.42 to be a top draft pick. Jeanty has a burst but Gibbs he is not.

I don't disagree, but the last time we had 2 #1 WRs Jerry traded one for a 5th round pick.

I actually think this year the Cowboys have so many holes they can go BPA and not go wrong.

But, this team will never be a contender for a SB until they fix that DL in the middle. So if they refuse to dive into free agency, they better look at drafting DTs earlier than the 7th round.
